From wikipedia Plutarch wrote in De Superstitiones 171:
... the whole area before the statue was filled with a loud noise of flutes and drums so that the cries of wailing should not reach the ears of the people.
In my readings and such it was believed this cult was for a time assimilated into the israelite tribes by outside sources which in the bible brought on God's anger on the charge of idolatry.
phoencians of the levant barly did human sacrifices if ever, they sub human with animals. but the carthage phoenicians the sister colonie/city of the ones in the levant area, were more religious, and they did human sacrifices, in time when they found the need to do so, to win a war, or when bad times have come on them, but mostly they used animals.
You are putting the ancient Phoenician cult of Baal with the ritual called Moloch together with the christian vision of Moloch and with what Moloch became in common language and iconography. This video is about archaeology and ancient paganism, not about today supposed cults of Moloch.
Thier is no mistranslation in the Old Testament. I have the original transcripts, an interlinear and several sets of biblical encyclopedias. This did happen to children.
I agree that the bible has been tampered with, however there are too many accounts in it to state that it never happened. If you choose to believe that it (child sacrifice) didnt happen then what about the things that are going on today? That are documented, that follow the descriptions of the OT?
I have heard this kind of statement before, but have not seen any evidence to explain why some have arrived at this conclusion, so im interested to see what trustable evidence do you have to state that the bible is not trustable evidence for real facts? I've only recently become interested in evidence against things stated as fact in the bible, but have seen more evidence to make me think more of it is true than false, at least in my opinion, but im after the truth so i welcome any suggestions.
I don't know if there is an English translation of his works, but you should start by reading Sabatino Moscati's studies about Phoenician religion, my video summarizes his works and the ones by Ribichini and Xella, two other italian scholars. Of course I have a "pagan" interest in spreading their studies, but I essentially followed what they said
most the sources we have today about the the phoenicians and their nations were made by jealous nations who hated them( the greeks, israelites(old testiment), romans),they were fair and unfair and over exagereted about them. and from the egyptiens, persien, hitties, assyrians, babylonians scipts as well. and that is coming from many archaeologists .
what song is this?

I have answered you below; but I could say that "literary" sources are not so trustable as they don't collide with archaeological evidences

Isn't christianity, islam, and judaism derived from the "MOLOCH RELIGION" of the ancient Canaanites?

I think they better invented what we call "moloch religion" to point out that they were "different", that they were "good"...
