  • justice for the 96! god bless Bill Shankly, Liverpool and Celtic fc , youll NEVER walk alone,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Get ArtMonkforHallofFame banned from this thread! He's an ill-informed halfwit.

  • Happy Birthday Shanks ! Be forever in our hearts !!!!

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame, Heysel is largely blamed on us yes & true LFC supporters don't forget this - but Hillsborough? -- Thats just wrong. It was a crush. Read the history asshole.

  • we love you Shankly, forever Amen.

  • The chant "Shankly" and "Dalglish" really sounds alike, wonder why?

  • @butomakansabun Does it?

  • so what? you watch american football i assume? where they stop the game every 5 seconds for an age. i find that boring but i dont go searching for an american football vid on here and go slag it off.

  • when i go on google i dont type in 'bill shankly' i type in 'sir bill shankly' !

  • I'm not a Liverpool fan - far from it, but Shanks was one of the best. Together with Paisley, they made Liverpools modern history. Fergie has won more trophies, but he lacks class.

  • and who mourns the Belgians you holligans murdered in '85? animals.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame

Get the hell out if your gonna be disrespectful to the greatest manager that ever lived. And forgive me if i'm wrong but wasn't it Italians, not Belgians? Don't blame the fans, every team has there set of dickheads, it wasn't the fans fault it was the stadium, old and falling apart.. it would have happend sooner or later whether or not it was Liverpool. Aside from that, we have the greatest fans in the world, don't like it? Go and watch your shitty club videos!

  • @craigyt1 how my comment was disrespectful to Shankly I have no idea. but as for Liverpool in 1985, it takes a certain type of arrogance to blame the stadium for the awful hooligans. Heysel was a culmination of years of hooliganism in English football. It's how ALL English teams were banned for years...an extra year for the extra special Liverpool hooligans. Karma bit you in the ass at Hillsborough.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame

Mate your just being daft now. Think about it, a lot of teams still have hooligans/firms and you don't hear of stadiums falling apart anymore. What happend at Heysel was gonna happen sooner or later, wether it was because of hooligans or not. Like I said there is a lot of firms still going to this day. No one dies because of a dodgy stadium. Coming on a Liverpool video which is not related to Heysel or Hillsborough and calling our fans murderers is disrepectful.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame saying your comment was not disrespectful and in the same comment you say "karma bit you in the ass at Hillsborough" ? get a life mate

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame what an arsehole you are. and it was italians that sadly died in that tragedy not belgians you fuckwit.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 the hooligans murdered italians and belgians (it was in Brussels). I will always hate Liverpool for this. they are Oakland Raiders fans without a sense of humor.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame oakland fucking raiders?? who the fuck are they?? and who cares for that matter. people came on this to remember a great manager not to listen to the stupid rantings of an idiot. so sod off and vent somewhere else.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 fantastic. ignorant and violent. a wonderful combination. I think we all know "THE TRUTH."

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame fantastic. your a moron and clueless twat. perfect combination.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 "your" i love it. you make my job easy.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame i can imagine what your job is, serving fries? at maccys? judging by the nonsense you right on here its about all you'd be quailified for.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 "its" and "right". i realize not everyone has an advanced degree like I do (attorney here, chief) but still. Do those who serve fries need to understand basic English grammar and spelling? if not, there's still hope for you.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame oh so sorry oh great one, and if you think i believe your an attorney then your dafter than i thought. fuck off now sir spellcheck your boring me. wouldnt suprise me if your last name was hicks or gillett.

  • @Kennyrobbo2007 it's actually not spellcheck because the words you use are spelled correctly in a different context. Kinda like "your" in your 1st sentence...TWICE! Hicks/Gillett? the American owners of Liverpool, right? yeah, we Americans don't care. You seem to be content with a sport that the same 4 teams finish 1-4 every year. oh wait...

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame I hate to brake up this cat-fight, but I think Kennyrobbo has you beaten on all fronts in this childish & debase argument, of which you appear to be completely ignorant of the facts, & completely ill-prepared for.

Correcting peoples grammar & spelling, when your own is slightly lacking, coupled with the obvious

transparency of your delusional position in society, I sir, conclude you are a Troll.

  • @williewobbler79 first of all, *people's. Secondly, let's look at the facts. FACT: English football fans were horrible and violent in the 80s. FACT: Liverpool fans were the poster child for those fans. FACT: Liverpool fans rushed the Juventus/neutral fans at Heyssel. FACT: Juventus/Neutral fans died as a result. FACT: English teams banned 5 years from Europe. FACT: Liverpool 6 years. FACT: same thugs rushed/pushed/stormed at Hillsboroguh. FACT: way too many innocents died again.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame Hillsborough was a crush - nobody rushed pushed or stormed anyone

  • @BeardedDragecko wow. dozens of people are crushed against a fence because of the weight of all the people crowding in (without tickets!) and you suggest no one pushed. interesting spin.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame Your I.Q is so high you try and act smart on youtube you absolute dick - How were the people at the back to know they were crushing fellow fans - The police should have opened the gate and didnt and everyone coming from the back carried on , They were none the wiser you tool

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame As you seem to know so much about what happened at Hillsborough, I take it you've read the Taylor report.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame I couldn't fit a full reply to you on here so I am not going to bother in detail. You are offensive and inappropriate with your comments, ill-informed and a very arrogant "know it all". Read into Heysel and Hillsborough in detail, then write your comment(s).

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame yeah that's right cos the Liverpool fans turned up at a match to kill their own

STFU you ignorant twat. yes heynsel was appalling behavior but im quite sure there was no intention of killing the juve fans i know that's no excuse but still. every team has its hooligans.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame

Just thought I'd revisit your comment you made about three months ago, as I watch the parliamentary debate in the house of commons. Are you watching it, you ignoramus? But it seems as though everyone else has worked out that you're a tit already! :D

I let you off, you fucking troglodyte. By the way do not keep flaming me, as you will just look even more stupid at the publication of the unredacted files.

By the way, check your own spelling before you correct mine. Moron.

  • @ArtMonkforHallofFame

What's more, it was Italians. I was there - (Heysel). I was spat on in cafes as I ate. It was all down to the Falklands War animosity. Were you there?

  • the two pricks tht disliked this video are manc twats!!! long live king kenny and rip shanks we owe it to you to bring the glory days home to anfield!

  • Man, Liverpool fan or not, if that that doesn't move u at least a bit then u should probably find another sport.

I'm no Liverpool Fan, but no doubt what Shankly made was special.

    x

  • bill shankly 999 trillion times better than alex dickhead ferguson and yet shankly was never knighted

  • A scottish has saved us and scottish will save us again

  • @razor4660 for what its worth - I , for one, think you are a tit. And I don't even know you

  • WHAT A GUY,WHAT A MAN,WHAT A LEGEND,THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER LIKE HIM,LOYAL,HONEST A WORKING CLASS MAN,SPOKE FROM THE HEART,LIVED FOR WHAT HE BELIEVED IN,HIS DISHES WILL ALWAYS BE THE CLEANEST......R.I.P.SHANKLY

  • As the reds walk on, the Kops in song

    And we saviour glory days,

Days of ball to feet, of victory sweet,

Days of passion, guile and fire,

The legacy of one so great,

    Bill Shankly from Ayshire.

    R.I.P Shanks!!

  • I love you Bill Shankly

    RIP

  • I think you'll find that Liverpool's average gates exceeded Man U's at the end of the 80's - approx 39,000 if I'm right.

    Attendances were lower back then.

    YNWA

  • @spionkop2468 big deal considering man utd hadnt won lge for years. made alot of difference man utd now 75k to lpool 44k

  • @razer4660 well done genious you worked out man u have a bigger stadium therfore bigger attendance

now stop plaguing this page with insignificent facts you freak

  • @razer4660 shoulnt it be liverpool the biggest ground with all that history and 18 and 5. reason man utd got bigger ground got bigger support and had more ambition when they became top dogs unlike lpool who when top dogs opted for just 45,000 in 82 when reducing capacity. as man utd got bigger and better old trafford got bigger. your find anfield held more than 45,000 in the 70s but as lpool couldnt even get 30.000 some games 45,000 was more than enough most weeks.

  • @razer4660 Talking to yourself again ... MORON!

  • i really dont undersand why man utd is more famous than this great club its a complete mystery why Bill Shankly didnt get a knight hood its a joke he's ten times the mangager fergie ever will be

  • @20cFilmWannabe also take a look at some of the videos on youtube the liverpool crowds are huge we bring bannors scarves the best songs

  • I was at Swansea that day, what was horrifying many of the swansea fans were singing "shankly's dead" witch was even more terrible when Tosha was their manager, shame on you swansea

  • 48 49 seconds why is there so many empty white seats in the kemlyn. more proof that lpool couldnt fill anfield when they were good and that when paying respects to the death of bill shankly. for your history lpool fans some of your gates are totally shocking less than 30k countless times 80s even in title winning seasons shocking.

  • @razer4660 what the hell do you know about liverpool fc you worthless little rat one of the reasons Liverpool is famous is because of its fans they are without doubt the most loyal in england we have a song for most players and managers

your a chelsea fan so why your even on this page is a mystery why dont you fuck off back to your own useless club and get your team sorted before you start insulting superior teams

    your a disgrace

  • @20cFilmWannabe whats loyal when you couldnt fill your ground in title winning seasons and cutting capacity of your ground when the best team in england. your fans were so loyal thats why today the most successful team in england has a 44.000 capacity when man utd holds 75.000. in the 80s lpool had countless gates of under 30.000 in my opinion for how good lpool were them gates are shit. 25k v cfc 86/87 a few months after doing the double cfc had 3k so 22k lpool how do you discribe that

  • @razer4660 im sorry how could you possibly know the attendences of liverpool games your a fucking chelsea fan and liverpool plans to construct 65-75 thousand seater

stop making figures up in your head fuck wit liverpool has the second highest amount of fans in the epl after man u please piss off your rivals are arsenal go spew random bull shit on one of there vids you have no quarrels with liverpool

  • @BackInAGiffy its easy to know you look in lpool programmes and rothmans yearbooks and in later years you can now google. but as you ignored my points i will say it again whats great about gates that were no where near capacity when lpool were the best team. gates under 30k in title winning seasons are total shit and the great support tag is one of footballs biggest myths. for how good lpool were every game should have been soldout with 10.000 locked out yet 24k v brum 81,82 and loads more 80s

  • @razer4660 maybe they couldn't afford tickets not every one was a rich london snob son

get a life and a team with some passion

  • @BackInAGiffy early 80s it was £2 to stand on the kop so thats no excuse you clueless knob. liverpool couldnt fill their ground in the 80s when the best team that tells me that support werent as great as made out. surely great support is a full ground yes/no and lpool couldnt do it season after season the records prove it

  • @razer4660 watch the fucking video you stupid wanker

  • @BackInAGiffy CLEARLY YOU HAVE NO ANSWERS YOU FUCKING MUG AND LIVE IN THE USUAL DRIPPY LIVERPOOL DREAMWORLD. WHATS THE POINT OF TELLING LIES. ARE YOU SAYING THAT LPOOL DIDNT GET GATES OF UNDER 30.000 80S COS YOU LOOK FUCKING STUPID IF YOU DO. LIVERPOOL DIDNT HAVE GREAT SUPPORT IT A FUCKING MYTH YOU THICK DELUDED CUNT. AND EVERYONE CAN CHECK AND SEE THAT IM RIGHT GOOGLE LIVERPOOL ATTENDANCES 80S TOTALLY FUCKING SHOCKING

  • @razer4660 "look it up" whats that to you wikipediea you fucking mong why on earth you had the time to look up

the 30 years ago attendences of a club 100 miles north of you. you truly are a lonley person get some friends you fat cockney slob

you sad loner check the state of your own fucking club you reject you dont even have any songs LMFAO

arsenal are on top in London ha ha ha

  • @BackInAGiffy look it up i have and when i see liverpool with gates under 30k in title winning seasons that tells me support was shit good support is a full ground. if you get gates of under 30k in title winning sesons you aint got good support. lpool 44.000 man utd 75.000 what does that say you fucking knob

  • @razer4660 Im not gonna even comment on what complete twat said.

  • @BackInAGiffy thats why arsenal won nothing for 5 years and last season chelsea won the double you cluless mug

  • @BackInAGiffy i know there was 25k at anfield 86/87 cos i was there you soppy cunt. ground was 20k under a full house and lpool had won the double the previous season so support was fucking shit man utd got far higher gates

  • @20cFilmWannabe in the summer of 82 lpool seated the anfield rd end bringing capacity down to 45.000 support was that great why werent capacity increased then if support so great. look at your own team their shit living on past glorys. didnt lpool have 9.000 empty seats last home game yet anfields always soldout and it soldout every game 80s was the best 2 scouse jokes i heard recently. everything i said was true no bigger rats than your lot in 85 was their.

  • @razer4660 chelsea are just as shit considering the last game we played against you we won 2-0 after that you've been just as bad as we've been you have fuck all to show for being a supposedly good football team you aint even got 1 european cup LMFAO

  • thanks for shanks scots shud be proud for sending thier lovley son to us to adopt ... i shake ur hands :)

  • Shankley - Stein - Busby: All from the mining communitties of Scotland. Legends and true football men

  • he made people happy! WE LOVE YOU SHANKS!

  • Thank you Shankly, you it wasn't only about how great manager you are! You taught all football players and fans in general that real meaning of loyalty...

    RIP from Egypt

  • Comment removed

  • i'd sell my soul to have this man back in charge at anfield......

    rip bill x x x xynwa

  • rip shanks 29yrs 2day x

  • Shanks would turn in his grave at the thought of what them yank bastards are doin to the club he built and gave everything for! Would love to see what shanks would have said to them! I gaurentee they wouldn't last a crack with shanks at the club! True legend, god bless ya big man

  • @cnavaro88 thats why Ferguson regarded Shankly to be one of the, if not the, greatest football managers to ever grace a football field in the UK?

  • :,( YNWA

  • @wildlad.

Shanks said a lot of things most of them were ''tongue in cheek''.He didn't actually mean that fotball was a matter of life and death, what he wanted was 100% commitment from his players.

  • Shankley never won the european cup so he can't be considered great

  • @widlad7 His team won it later, Paisley had been given his orders

  • @widlad7 @widlad7 you obviously have no clue about anything do you? he took liverpool from the bottom of the second division (nowadays called the championship) and made them the best team in England. and they remained the best team until Souness fucked it all up. the incompetent idiot. hell of a player, but an arse of a manager

  • @HowardLeDuck Well my mate, next year Liverpool come of age-21 years (without the title).

  • Shankley... One of the greatest things ever to walk the earth... the other is Shankleys Shoes.

  • Liverpool were "the team" in English and European football... destroying n winning everything in their path... It's a shame I were not born during that period to see all these greats like Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish, Rush, Barnes to name a few...

Luckily I've seen incredible talents and my heroes in Fowler, McManaman but specially Gerrard !

The only thing that makes me sick is seeing Man Utd winning trophies on trophies each year and not LFC !

Lets hope Roy can be our "saviour" !?

    R.I.P SHANKLY

  • this was fucking beautiful.

    youll never walk alone <3

  • Two of my favourite Shanks quotes are.

''Man United and Man City are at the bottom of the league, and they'll take some shifting''.

''If Everton were playing in my back garden,I would pull the blinds.''.

But this one tops all of them.

''Well Alan, well at least you'll be playing beside a great team.''Talking to Alan Ball just after he joined Everton.

  • @alslevie1986 how about this one-'football isn't a matter of life and death, it's more important than that.' 96 families might find the joke has gone a bit flat.

  • @widlad7 That quote has been misquoted for years, it was part of an interview and it came in two parts, Some people think football is a matter of life and death..thats ridiculous' was the first part, then asked what football meant to liverpool he said, 'its much more important than that'. but he meant that football brought the people of liverpool together into a tight knit community and the love of the game was a common bond.

  • God I love this man - At the 'One Night in Istanbul' show at The Empire the other week, his family were given a great reception. A footballing God!

  • well the place is losing that Tosh because of those two lying, cheating, greedy bastards that are bleeding us dry. Fugg off yanks. You are cancer.

"When i've got nothing better to do, i look down the league table to see how Everton are getting along" one of the great mans quotes

  • Great manager and great man of the people..

wouldve loved to have seen him in all his wit and talent.. was a bit young then..

and im a Man Utd fan.. RIP a football legend

  • A Great Man, a great manager. From a Man United Fan, who can remember when he was alive. RIP Bill.

  • Thanks for the comments about the great Bill Shankly Bert. Always nice to hear that from a supporter of Manchester United.

Him and Sir Matt were the two greatest managers in the history of the game.

  • This was a man who lived for football. The lads of his team were 'his boys' many he nurtured and trained himself. He knew talent when he saw it. He brought Liverpool to unbelievable success.

Shanks was a religious man and I know he is up there piting his team against that of the great Matt Busby. Now what a game that would be!

  • Should have been knighted...Legend..

  • 16/12/09 LFC v Wigan - what a fine tribute and anniversary of Shanks.

    Walk on walk on...

  • Bill Shankly gave true meaning to the word legend, Respect from a Leeds United fan.

  • What countdown is this ?

  • prick stfu
