Just wondering, are you a real drummer? I have been drumming for almost 6 years (yeah I'm a beginner) and I have always sucked at this type of game but I've had an affinity towards real life drumming. The better I got a drumming the worse I got at rythm games. But do you drum?

These are Rockband 1 or 2 stock sets with the GoodWoodMods pads on them. Google it.

I don't get why some people don't like this, IMO I think this is way more intense than RB or GH. But I don't have the skill or talent to plat this game, so I'll stick to the simple RB :D

Rock band makes you FEEL like you're accomplishing something with an instrument, but DTXmania on a high enough difficult makes you play exactly what the drummer in the song is playing. If you have a midi kit, start playing death metal in DTX and you've got the makings a real metal drummer. DTX beats Rock Band in fun for the dollar every time. Personally, I think you should invest in the HD space for one of those 500000000000 song user packs and start doing DTXmania videos more often.

I would be so confused by this game. Mainly because the drum pedal, I would keep thinking it is something that I had to hit with my drumstick.

I can't play drums anyway, its too hard to concentrate enough to do two different beats at once with my hands, not to mention a third separate beat with your foot.

obviously you dont know drummania very well.. it was into an arcade game because of the invention of akira jimbo.. the MIDI kit he made with yamaha.. it became popular in asia.. until now its popular and due to the demand of players they update the arcade versions.. the newly released drummania V6 has through the fire and flames by dragonforce..

I've got four of them, they're all pretty bad though due to external conditions. I'll have an actual decent one up in August.

Also, I don't really think they're pointless: they're exercise, they're fun, and they do help train drum skills some.

this game will teach you how to play real drums far more than guitar hero or rock band will, yes.

really? how so, i just slapped 2 rockband drums sets to play but i dont really detect anything different (besides the amount of pads)

differences from rock band:

-hi-hat is on the correct side of the snare, unlike on rock band & guitar hero

-each drum is dedicated, meaning a tom does not suddenly become a snare does not suddenly become an open hi-hat

-seperate crash/ride cymbals/notes if you enable it

-six pads > four pads for realism

-timing window is much tighter, and grades you on accuracy, meaning you need to be accurate in your timing as well
