Gregg was a terrible ump who showed how bad he was in the 1997 playoffs. He wasn't the only one with a ridiculous strike zone. Some of the guys who resigned in 1999 were just as bad.

This is a great post but it makes me crazy when facts are wrong. 0:40 he gave up the 3rd of Reggie's 3 HR's in 1977.

eric gregg umping the 1997 NLCS with Livan Hernandez on the hill against the braves is seriously questioning that called 3rd strike on jose offerman. (well, if he was still alive)

@abruzz0 ummmmmmmmmmmm.........the opposing pitcher in that game was greg maddux now if your implying livan was the only one benefiting from the 6 inch increase in the strike zone your sounding silly greg maddux was streching the zone too
