i know Matons are an amazing guitar, but if you want a better sounding, more affordable Australian made guitar go for a Cole Clark.

It's obvious to me that the up-strumming motion on D uses only 3 strings... B,G, and D. I find it easier to use Dsus4. Try it

Whatever works for you to make it easier and if you like the sound the definately go for it, I change songs all the time to make them either easier or sound better so it's definately worth a go!!!
