Well, fuck. Somewhere along the line I must have missed a bunch of hearts because I am now stuck doing the elevator at only level 5... I am literally dying halfway up the last jump to the air pocket.
@AngryDrake Yeah, this was back in the day where the actual maker used some sort of direct translation program and broken english just flew everywhere.
I've been meaning to play the new one, but I haven't had much time on my hands.
I found a secret room behind the room where you first started (need arm strength). All there is in there is a machine that asks you to collect all the hearts in the game. I've never bothered to get all the hearts, as the last 20 in the lowest area seemed like too much trouble.
The shooter part was bad, very annoying also, and a bad sort of annoying. The thing was awfully boring, nothing was changing, same enemies over and over again, you only get one life. The problem with this was that I had to do this a ridiculous amount of times, and I did see I was getting better slowly, each time getting more and more of them, but I still had to repeat it like for over an hour? (I wonder) until I managed to do it. VERY boring (and I wanted to get the ending of the game)
I thought I wouldn't finish this game actually, a couple of times. but I guess I did so may of old ridiculously hard platformers years ago that I was sort of used to dieing over 50 times at one spot lol and I somehow kept coming back to this game (with frustration breaks every now and then ; p) until I finished, though the interesting story/setting must have been a large part of the reason I did finish it as well

The only reason you'd want to get 450 hearts is to go to the secret room and unlock the concept art sheet.
