I just wanted to point out though that the Bible wasn't so much like a game of telephone over the last 2000 year. The whole argument that the Bible was rewritten so many times and changed extensively* is not grounded, even from an atheistic perspective (dead sea scrolls etc). The question rather is if the writers were writing hopeful fairy tales, or if they actually met a real Jesus.
@ZomgNinjah It is well documented that many Christian's were killed for their faith (thrown to lions etc Nero etc), and many still are today (China, Middle East etc), and I personally believe the evidence they saw, they believed Jesus was real and experienced Him. The problem with the "quran" is that it's comes after the bible. It uses the beginning of the bible but not the whole bible. It nick picks at what it thinks is right. What the quran believes in is the law, rather then what God was trying to do from the beginning, have a relationship with us. That's why He created us to begin with. He gave us choice! The point of all of this was to say that there are things that you simply can't SEE, tough, taste, or smell. Perhaps we cannot "see" God because those are not the senses that can be used to do so.

I just wanted to point out though that the Bible wasn't so much like a game of telephone over the last 2000 year. The whole argument that the Bible was rewritten so many times and changed extensively* is not grounded, even from an atheistic perspective (dead sea scrolls etc). The question rather is if the writers were writing hopeful fairy tales, or if they actually met a real Jesus.

This slight temperature change would have an effect on the universe which could potentially trigger larger-scale effects. But that's not the point. The old testament of the bible was written nearly 3,500 years ago. The new testament was written about 2,000 years ago. What kind of a christian are you? @MetalForTheMasters the Bible was written over a period of 1000 yrs by 40 different authors on at least 2 different continents--they all tell about the Messiah--Jesus fulfilled over 300 of the O.T. scriptures-which would be astronomical to do unless you are God

I embrace death as a part of life and whether or not life goes on after death does not matter. @ahmad941985 the Bible is the same as it was written-Jesus used in his teachings a part of every old testament (except esther) proving that it was true to the original--also the earliest written scrolls known as the dead sea scrolls found in qumran in 1949 verifies the Bible as accurate-a complete copy of isaiah is word for word to what we have now (except for small variations that DO NOT change the meaning of the text)

@jstan4421 we believe that god is one he is the eternal refuge , he neither begets nor is born and there is none co-equal or comparable to him . that is our concept of god , we don't believe what the bible says about god when it says that he will come riding a cherub or when it says that god will shave our heads and our private parts with a razor , or when it says that god rested on the 7th day of creation , we say god don't do that , god don't ride don't shave and don't rest .

@ahmad941985 i don't recall anything in the bible about a razor or the private parts-the cherub was in a psalm that david wrote to praise God for coming to his rescue-it does not mean that God rides a cherub just that He was quick in His aid to david--as for the 7th day of rest (sabbath) God does not need to rest-it means He looked at all His creation and that there was nothing else to do -He rested FROM His work -it states over and over that He said 'IT WAS VERY GOOD." gen.1:10,11,18

@ahmad941985 God is not the one doing the shaving-He has another do it--this is war and the king of assyria is to shave off the hair and the beard this was a mark of dishonor applied to slaves---in my Bible it states 'the head and the hair of the legs,and will also remove the beard'--i never took 'the hair of the legs' to mean the 'private parts'--you are very knowledgeable of the Bible--i am impressed
