Haha, I play my flute just like you! swaying back and forth and slanted a lot, my friend says I should hold it up straight, but it doesn't make difference! :D This is really good. I'm in grade 9 band and I want to learn this song!

Why does everyone keep saying he should hold his flute up more? That doesn't matter and he still sounds great. If you look at people like Carol Wincenc and Emma Resmini you will see that they have their flutes at all sorts of different angles!

Practice makes it perfect. :o) Soon you will be better day after day. I used to have very poor tone before, but after practice it will get more from what you play.

@6709sheeP Just get the parts right before you put it on youtube is all I'm sayin'. It took my band a couple weeks before we had our version of Amazing Grace ready to record and upload, but all that work paid off. Most folks are sayin' its the best on youtube - and they're probably right.

whether or not you hold your flute up doesnt matter. As long as you can keep your emboshiure (thats wrong, i know) strait, it doesn't matter.

umm no keeping ur chin up does matter becuz ur airway needs to be straight. also keeping flute straight matters to cuz u get a better balance and appearance.

Imagine my surprise. I thought myself how to play amazing grace on my flute by transposing from a non transposable instrument. Imagine my surprise when I find out from hearing you play that id did it right. I found that not only did I transpose non-transposable instruments but that I did it correctly. I did this all mentally about three years ago...I think and just now I find that I did it right. some of the notes of my version are different but it still works well.
