Maybe it was the gotlanders, related with goths that spread the suncult and the snakecult connected with that, all over the Baltic sea in the Bronze age. Gutans in aiwins! Goths forever! There are a lot of proof for contacts with Gotland and Kurland in the iron-age. Placenames from Latvia you can also find on Gotland, For example Slite-Slitere, Alande, Guldrupe-(from kulta and upe etc.

I'm an Estonian and I can tell that Latvian folk sounds slightly different from Estonian folk.. and it's so beautiful. <3 I love Latvian folk music.
