  • very nice brother

  • great uploads thanks

  • The steam dumplings are called mantu and it's from afghan cuisine - not pakistani

  • I wish people wouldn't argue on videos about food, food is fundamentally something that unites peoples and cultures, this isn't a video about politics.

  • thanks for posting this episode i never saw it on t.v its fantastic :)

  • just discovered this show a few weeks ago... instaddict!

  • I love how the representatives of all nationalities are SO proud of their cuisine..!!!

    Bless

  • THAT"S RIGHT: DISTINCTIVE!

  • Like music... food has no boundaries.... all these look very mouthwatering... so i would love to travel to pakistan.. just to hav this food :-)

  • Abusive comments ..

  • any where pakistan name pop up, some indians jump in....if u see indian food episode no paki said any bad word....

  • Why are we indians and pakistanis always fighting over everything. Food is our common heritage. Same way i see Iranians and turks fighting over food. It is so stupid. We all share a common past. We have to appreciate what is good. North Indian and Pakistani food is similar. Again i think pashtun and balochi food would be nearer to afghan cuisine and iranian cuisine, than north indian or pakistani food. Happy cooking and eating!

  • this shows there is no diff between india and pakistan coz in the histroy we two nation were one ...

long live indo - pak coz we r better than western world...

  • @mitanshushah It is not who is better in this world but how you create your own life. People who have this idea about who is better are the ones dividing life when it should be united as a whole, however we are all of One.

  • @purespirit9 yup ur right ...

  • cooking is one of the most exiting occupations

  • i agree pakistani basmati rice is the best in the world .

  • i agree pakistani basmati rice is the best in the world .

  • so tasty!!!

  • For poeple who haven't taste the food of Pakistan is missing soo much from their life !

  • so hungry now

  • drooling drooling XDDD

  • what a great show. Pakistani food is da best

  • Pakistani food has its origins in many different cultures, including India. But our Western regions, Balochistan and NWFP have their own cuisine which is heavily influenced by Iranian/Middle-Eastern food and Afghan food. People in Kashmir have their own food, and similarly those in Punjab and Sindh share many common foods with those in India, as well as different ones.

  • Haleem has origins in Hyderabad.

  • pakistani food is taken over the world...now ppl are realising that so called indian food or restuarants are serving pakistani cusine or owned by muslims or pakistani..we have all meat dishes...i love pakistani BBQ dishes

  • Haleem was invented in India. Ironic, isn't it? From an outsiders' perspective, you Indians and Pakistanis spewing shit at each other over the net is getting old. Grow up.

  • Hmmm... Something I did today reminded me of Haleem - I can't put my finger on it... it escapes me. Actually it did escape me and neatly fell in the toilet bowl - Haleem, that is.

Klias, you're right this silly indo-pak bickering is getting a bit old which is why we need to stir the shit now and then; or as they say in the vernacular - 'stir the haleeeem'

  • haleem is iranian, go research before speaking

  • haleem is shia dish,its made on 10th moharam,in iran,pakistan,iraq,syria,and in india..lol but in pakistan every day.lol

  • @underworld786

Please first you read the histry of islam in asia.

  • And there you are contradicting yourself. Didn't you yourself say most of the inventions happened in Punjab? The Mughals were of Persian/Iranian origin. So? Pakistani cuisine is a blend of many indigenously developed traditions as well as foreign influences introduced into the region, just like Indian food. Respect, they're both great in their own right.

  • Im Indian and I love Pakistani cuisine........Its absolutely spectacular

  • Food Safari is a marvelous series, and it's because Maeve O'Meara makes it so!!

Thanks for posting this terrific episode on food from Pakistan.

  • welcome

  • hindu shit turd, most of what is indian food is south asian muslim food. you hindus didn't invent any of these dishes

  • The food of Indian-Muslim origin from North India maybe. Then explain the vast variety of food available in other parts of India, especially South India which is very different from the sort of food the Pakistanis eat. Pakistanis don't cook with coconut milk...you guys aren't even that fond of veggies and lentils as the Hindus, that's why you don't usually serve dal to guests.

  • really who said that,

  • said what? go research on mughal food, pakistan and certian parts of north india were the center of mughal empire, most of the inventions happend in Punjab area and some western parts of india

  • yeah,if u live in north america, you must be aware of famous pakistani food outlets.like Sabri Nihari,Bundu Khan, kebabish, lahore restuarant, student biryani, dawat, usmani, lasani,i didnt see any good indian restuarants abroad..except Veg,masal dossa, daal makhni, rajma on the menu.lol maby some bengladeshi restuarants or india muslim once..indian food sucks...lol most pakistani restuarants are full of indianz anyway.haha

  • @underworld786

Idiot. The Eastern part of Pakistan basically eats the same food as the Northern part of India...Which means BOTH are uqually good as both are the same. The western part of pakistan has similar food as Afghan/Persians.

Southern Indian food is completely different from North indian/Paki.

I love all kinds of cuisine, although Indian/Paki fast food is the best (Pani Puri, Bhel Puri, Aloo chaat, Tandoori chicken) etc.

Now stop this Indian vs Paki nonsense.

  • Don't be smug. I suggest you do more research on Indian regional cuisines, and find out for yourself that there's so much more to it, then the North Indian food that bears a lot of similarities to some Pakistani dishes.

And for the record, the tandoor oven didn't even originate in any of the regions that are part of India or Pakistan today. It really came from Afghanistan. So this silly India vs Pakistan mudslinging contest is just pointless.

  • the problem is you indians claim every thing as yours and are so proud of it, in reality India would nothing with outside influence in every thing.

  • This reminds me of how I used to watch Shafi make his Halim - it was VERY good.

  • Woah, seriously, chill. Mexican food is good too.

  • Yummy, my mouth is watering as I sit at my work cube and watch these great foods. I am getting really hungry..........................First guy did a great job of explaining everything. Way to go and Pakistan Zindabad!!!!!!!

  • I thought Pakistani food was the same as Indian.

  • A little difference - Pakistani food has many more veg dishes as we love our meat (especially lamb and chicken. Take a trip to Lahore Food street and you'll know what I mean)

  • haleem looks nice

  • Pakistan food is the best in the whole wide world. yameeeeeeeeeee

  • @aliabideen bro i think u haven't taste d lucknow food......

  • @aliabideen No its not. Your rotis, chapatis herbs, spices come from India. Thats a fact, no discussion about that.

  • where is this resturant? does anyone know best halal resturant in NYC?

  • sounds british man

  • Ahem, Australian.

  • same thing. lol. jk

  • Oh, har har....

    Republic! :|

  • carrot halwa...my goodness!! delicious!!
