  • this is so not easy.

  • WOW I found a new hobby!!!

  • i really love skipping and i do i almost every day and i want lose my stomach fat (10 cm or 4 inches) so how many jumps do i need to do for flat stomach?

  • I just started doing jumping rope less than a week ago..

  • oh my ı try it out today BUT ı only can do 10 >< and for 5 min ... this man show like so easy to do XD but he msut be super pro on this *_*

PLUS its hard to jump with all this fat on me :c

  • I've just started to practice this, I'm having a lot of problems with my rythm, but I'll do as this guy does, keep my hands a little bit closer to my waist and keep on doing it 'til I can do it well. It's not as easy as it seems, you have to try hard!!!

  • This has been said before, but I'll say it anyway... THIS GUY MAKES IT LOOK EASY!

  • Even if you dont have a rope just pretend that u have one and jump

  • I love jump rope... heres what i do

    1. I jump 125 rounds

    2. Then i tke 40 secs break

    3. Again i d 125 rounds...

    4. I do this till i reach 2000 jumps..

I have been doing this almost every day for a month and i have lost belly fat... all i wanna know is will this help me loose 15 Kilos in 2 months or do i have to do more than that to loose 15 kgs..

  • First comment in forever. Great video.

  • This guy is lean...and strong...and fit. Listen to the rope whir. I am able to jump at about 1/3 the pace. After 100 jumps I feel like I am going to die. There is the inspiration to practice. I made it up to 200 one day and to say that my 'heart rate was up' would be an understatement. How do you get good like this without killing yourself in the process? Inspiring video.

  • How long i should jump per day??

Can show me the routine list?

  • is that john cena?

  • good video.. i recently started jumproaping and its a great workout

  • Great video

  • I can't even talk while I jump...O_o

  • Jumping rope is insanely hard! omfg!!! -_-

  • How long are you supposed to do this for?

  • im training 3 people to skip..the way ive mastered it is crazy

  • Thanks for your video. I have two questions. #1: How long does the skipping rope have to be? Ive heard many things, not sure which one holds truth. Some have told me that you should step on it with one foot and the ends of each rope should come up to the bottom of your armpits. Can you give me some insight? AND #2: Im getting better at skipping, Im learning how to switch feet, but I notice the bottom of my feet hurt alot. My footwear seems okay, with support. am I doing something wrong?

  • he's hot!!!

  • i do this everyday, it has toned up my stomach majorly

  • i just tried doing it. this guy makes it look easy

  • where can I get a good jump rope....the ones I've seen are pricey but they suck..........either they are too light weight or they break after a few uses.....

  • cool, i do 1 foot jumps 5 times then switch, into double foot jumping repeatedly.. its hell. 25 2 minute rounds.

  • Dude you are so awesome! I can barely make it over 2 without fumbling, i'm a newbie...

  • ...hes good

  • GREAT Video Man!!!

Keep It Up The Good Work!!

    You Deserve 5 Stars *****

  • Great video..one of the best on the topic.

  • i can only do jump 3 times before i trip over :(

  • jump using toes. dont jump using ur heels cuz it stops the jump impact. ljump using ur toes and land with ur toes because when u land it bounces u down and back up. cheers

  • great video.

  • you can hear the jumprope through the air xD

  • For what amount of time should I keep jumping?

  • skipping will increase your virtical jump a lot. its really good for basketball players to do. skipping everyday along with calf raises every day, your vert will increse 3 inches in 3 weeks

  • you look like an ex marine...I wouldn't doubt if you were

but does jumping rope help with speed...like overall running speed. sprinting?

  • yeah cuz ur using ur toes and sprinters use their toes to sprint. :)

  • i just started skipping within half an hour i was drenched in sweat very good exercise

  • It's because it takes quite a lot of energy to push yourself into the air and if you are moving your arms as well then you body is being worked at 75-80% while you're skipping! Totally agree with you Joe... Very good evercise

  • i love rope skipping its very easy to learn new tricks!!

  • he doesn't even sound he's struggling, and he's going mega fast lol. does anyone know if it's best to do this everyday or every second day? i've heard that u need a break every second day for ur muscles to heal but i dunno if that's true.. oo and also would i have to eat overly healthy to lose weight while doing this or just eat a bit healthier?? ..i'm not so good at the whole will power thing..

    thanks :)

  • thx for this informative vid

  • damn i box and lift but i could never do this

  • jumping jacks are also very good especially since u tend to jump higher and use your triceps

  • So im just wondering what is this like compared to running? i.e if i skip for 2 minutes would that be the equivalent of say 1km? i was running every day to improve my cardio but got injured and stopped running for a while and now i dont want to run outside coz the weathers crap

  • does it make you taller?

  • wouldn't jumping rope make your calves look bigger and muscular? what if people with naturally big calves, can they jump too? I have naturally big calves lol...

  • I wish I had the room in my house to skip just so I'm more comfortable!

  • i am always running , but in summer , i cant go outside a lot cuz in saudi arabia (summer = hell lol ) is jumping like running ?

  • You are so awesome and neat! A pro at jump rope and super spectacular to watch. I'm going to go buy me one asap I have a play one for kids I got me at the local grocer & I do pretty good I never knew I was getting such a workout . Thanks for your upload :)))

  • very great way to get & stay in shape & its fun.. If you guys are new dont worry, just practice & youll get the hang of it eventually.

  • will i lose fat on my stmach if i do this eryday

  • how long should I do this for a day to start seeing results??

    tnx

  • i've also bought one, but it's way to light, how much does a rope has to weigh, at least

  • For how many minutes should I do this daily?

  • does this increase abs? i was doing jump ropes nd i felt some "burn" in my abs. am i doing it wrong? i do footwork too

  • his biceps are as big as basketballs

  • Awesome jump-rope workout.

  • to hell with fat loss this just looks like fun

  • very nice

  • This seems pretty good..

I think I'll do this with 60 seconds breaks untill 15-20 minutes.

But I read something, where you just do the basic thing for 60 seconds, then rest for 30 seconds and continue that for 15-20 minutes.

Would HIS workout be better to lose weight? or the one I'm talking about?

  • So if you do SO MANY situps daily and you don't see ur sixpack then it's cuz you have fat lol? DAMNIT lol....

Ok.. I've been doing situps, leg raises, etc.. for a year... I only see the upper pack... the lower pack I can tell it has a little fat but i mean.. I'm not fat so I have to do this and get rid of the fat to be able to see the full six pack?

  • thats cool!!

  • These are all great vids but is there any like certain ways you should breathe while doing them?

  • he's not human, can jump and clearly talk at the same time ...

  • i fail at rope skipping.. idk why but it wont keep going good .. the rope will get stuck at my foot or toes.. -.- maybe i dont have a good rope.. think thats it idk

  • is it true that u burn 100 calories for every 10 minute u do jump rope??? n that its 1 of the best cardio work out??

  • muhammad ali's favourite workout.

    =)

  • i love skipping...started a month a go...now i feel like im a pro at it

  • Me too.

  • its time for me to learn how to use jumping rope rofl..

  • does this help to slim legs cause my leg is muscular with fat ..?

  • how long is the rope supposed to be?

  • man, the sound of the rope cutting the air is soo cool. these 6 vids helped a lot. i learned a lot of tips

  • you may want to use a matt when jumping, you can't hear what you're saying....But good stuff! THANKS!

  • He the only one on youtube that jumps rope like you should do it . Love it!

  • If this was an olympic sport he'd be in it

  • my advice to any one who wants to jump rope well is to go to a boxing gym, the better people around you will really make you feel bad and motivate you..thats how i did it now im good, i can do what this dudes doing here.

  • he jumps rope so fast lmao.

anyways what's the best kind of jump rope?

  • one with handles -_-

  • it's probably a plastic/PVC speed rope.

  • does skipping rope mainly focus on the thighs.

just want to know as soon as possible . =]

  • i'd say it hits your calf muscles the hardest. thighs...not so much. good for the triceps and shoulders also. and is a great cardiovascular workout too obviously

  • Uhm, I believe it also does wonder for your calf muscles and your cardiovascular system.

  • is that a "speed jump rope"? i was told that a vinyl speed rope is best to use.

  • that is exactly how I want to jump rope!

  • To sugarcultsgirl, did you ever notice the shape of a boxer? Often its perfect, they use jump alot, so yeah, this works very well!!

  • so how long should i jump rope everyday if i want to see significant weight loss results?

  • Nice video! Thanks for the helpful tips!

  • hey, im not fat like u fat bastards XD just want to tone up my abs again and loose some weight for better results

  • all 6 videos are great.

and look at those arms :)

  • i use running shoes to jump rope and my feet are sore. is it cuz of the shoes or beause im a beginner? thanks

  • No i think its if its your first time skipping. I skipped wearing flip flops and my feets hurt.

  • how often should i do it, everyday??? isn't to much cardio bad if i'm trying to gain muscles? but i the same time i wanna be lean so give me ur best shot, in make case what is the best approach??

  • it is absolutely true jump roping is a good way to burn fat. i was 70kg back when I was 15. I jumped my way to 50kg in a span of 2 years. you can try skipping without a rope 1st because it needs coordination, some practice. don't give up when it doesn't work initially, with all the tangling and stuff. it'll get to you with perseverance. put on some music and you'll be proud to see what you can actually do with just a skipping rope!

  • Kay, thank you!!

  • It will help with jumping higher... it involves your calves muscles, also burning fat will make you lighter... If you havent reserched, belly fat is mainly two things, 1. over all body fat, 2. diet, like pop and beer are the worst... i found out pot makes me soft appealing. you always here drink water, so do it! i like jump roping with sweats feels like a better work out just rehydrate.

  • I know you said beer is the worst i havent drunk beer in a week,im trying to quit but what about liquor maybe a mixed drink once a week will that hurt u really bad?

  • Can jumproping make me grow taller?

  • dont think it can make u shorter

  • what part of your body will lose the weight cause i want to lose some of my belly fat

  • If you tighten your abs while jumping, you'll start feeling the burn.

  • There is absolutely no way to lose ONLY belly fat. Your body takes fat from all over your body. There is NO such thing as "targeting" where you lose fat. Just lose fat and it will come from everywhere on your body. If you want you can google fat loss myths and that will be close to #1 on the lists. Use google, it's better than a book ;)

  • General question:

I've always wondered this... I realize that if you exercise, you'll lose weight from all areas on your body; however, if the first place you gain weight is your belly, is is generally the last place you lose weight? -unless you do a ton of situps or something?

  • remember abdominal exercises don't necessarily burn a lot of fat. the idea that sit ups and ab crunches will make you lose weight from your belly is a common misconception.

jogging, skipping, that kind of thing will burn fat, and sit ups/crunches n stuff with tone muscle

also, seems silly to say that there's such a thing as a 'last' place to lose weight. surely all gradually goes at the same speed...surely

  • situps wont make you lose weight on your stomach, it'll just tone the muscles there

  • tons of situps wont make you lose weight on your stomach, you can't pin point burn your fat.

but you have the general idea

if you gained the weight first on your stomach, then butt, then thighs, it will probably be going off in that same order, but reverse.

it's different for people where they gain their fat and which places they get it first etc, but that's the general idea.

  • @beebobox No, actually when you loose weight, it burns it off all over the body, not is certain spots, its only takes longer to tell in certain spots of the body because there maybe more fat.

  • there more fat in the thighs huh?

well my thighs have been smaller ever since i started jump roping

  • Well, I would assume that it depends on your own genetic makeup. But what thing I do know for sure, sit-ups do not help you lose abdominal fat. yes, it strengthens and forms that muscle, but you won't see anything until you lose body fat.

  • I believe the myth is called "spot reduction"

abdominal exercises will help with back pain though

  • when i train i run a few miles then go in and skip for a few rounds as a work out this alone makes you sweat like a beast ...a sure way to lose body fat

  • i can do that and so can me and my friends lol we jump at school all teh time

  • do u think this actualy works????????????

  • yes everything he said is true. it's not as good as running but it's about 9/10's as good as it. you work out most of your body parts when jumping rope

  • Yeah dude if you do like 2 minutes of jump roping (you need to work up to that if you're not fit) and then take 1 minute breaks and just repeat that for like 20 minutes a few times a week then you'll using thousands of calories more than you would be normally. It's really a wonderful exercise.

  • Thanks helimeef, I was looking for info in terms of sets and stuff. I'm gonna buy one of those ball bearing ropes tonight!

  • IS 700 JUMP ROPE GOOD ?

  • kwl n easy dnt u think ...

  • how many sets of those do i do until i lose 100 lbs?

  • it depends on ur current weight and hight and metabolism and stuff like that, and also ur diet.

  • wear 5 pound ankle weights while doing this. It is a hell of a workout trust me..

  • Yes...

  • im deffinately not that coordinated. lol

  • Can you do it without a rope? :D

  • yeah just move your arms like you would if you were jumping rope and jump up and down, this way it works the entire body.

  • i do that.

  • yeagh vidike, but then youd look crazy as hell

  • jd, the best ive heard is step on the middle of the rope and pull the two ends even. they should be at about your arm pit. i would think the average rope length is about 9ft

  • Is there a certain length, of rope, you should have for a persons hieght..

  • Yes, use google

  • I can't skip well at all. I can't do like what you're doing.

  • yeah right now i only can do one skip per two jumps, like two small jumps then rope goes over =D i need to practice till i get one jump per 1 rope under

  • That's awesome. Just wondering, is it true that jumping rope can also increase my overall distance in a jump? Because I mainly jump rope for boxing but I also play a bit of basketball on the side and I want to be able to jump a bit higher.

  • i dont think its gonna help in ball...your endurance yeah but jumping nah

  • It won't help with jumping higher.
