Well Square Enix tried something new...i prefer the new battle system...the plot is far better than any other of the Final Fantasies i have played...the characters are far less generic...there really is no main antagonist...and thats a good thing...they have tried something new...

In the end i am GLAD what they did with Final Fantasy XIII...its the most refreshing and least generic game in the series (out of what i have played)

@Nickizdaboss after the tutorial parts it still picks your party for awhile but the leader is usually Lightning or Sazh unless your fighting someones eidolon. Like a chapter before you get to pulse you can start having your party anyway you like.

In chapter 9 (halfway through the game) you can pick to be anyone at anytime...for the first half of the game you will play as everyone in certain parts of the game...the majority being playing as Lightning

I love this game... maybe because it's similar to Final Fantasy X and X-2... which I like. The summons are cool but they're not as powerful as in the older FF. And yes, they do look like transformers to me... very odd why they made it like that.

I admit as well that at the start I was having a bad time with it but then again I realize this is something good square-enix did. Why always stick with the same kind of thing. It has been for too long already. I believe this is fun and certainly not a bad job square-enix have done. It also depends on the story and many other facts to make a game nice.
