@vSicKz The reason the RROD is around is because the heat shrink is to small. it is small because the big DVD drive, all they have to do is make the xbox bigger with more vents and fans. I modded my Xbox and made a new bigger case, and spread all the bored around to cool them off faster. I even put in three small fans. and a bigger heat
shrink. I have left it one for 2 days straight, and it did not get hot. it is as big as a shoe box, but it runs at 70 dergress when played for 10 hours.
You're right. This is my example: I've had a ps2 slim for like 6 years and its NEVER had a fucking hardware problem. But I see all these owners of the old 360 complaing about it getting RROD. And they are usally like a year old or less! The wii doesn't get this, the ps3 has a very low faliure reate, so why should the 360 get sent in so much.

@xxgetprankedxx Didn't lie a word in my comment. Microsoft did admit that the failure percentage of the original xbox 360 (fat) was way above "standard" durability and therefor they added 1 year to the varranty back in the day, just because the consoles RROD'd.
It still might happen to you... Just hope it'll happen while your varranty is still valid and not immediately after... (Isn't the varranty 3 years now that they added a year?)
What i do when that happens i shake the xbox lightly and see if it works and it did for me, it happen to me like 6 times and i still have the same Xbox and still works great.

That could be because of over-heating, or if you have a hard-drive... Take it out and wait like 1 minute then put it back in. And there may be a code on the screen, like E68, just look up what it means and what to do.

That could be because of over-heating, or if you have a hard-drive... Take it out and wait like 1 minute then put it back in. And there may be a code on the screen, like E68, just look up what it means and what to do.

Saying that Xbox sucks is actually just pointless... kinda. You see, I got my Xbox 360 three years ago and it still works, some of my friends also got their Xbox a long time ago and their Xbox'es is still working. Besides, I feel like Xbox Live has a more secure system than other consoles, it makes you not worried playing online or being worried for someone hacking you.
