One of those 'can't help but feel better' songs. Uncomplicated, and fun, lyrics...and great music to boot. I still have the original 45 rpm, which belonged to a friend of my sisters, back in 1967...when teenagers made the rounds of their friends'. houses...with their favorite records in hand. It was a nice, simpler, time...and I'm glad to be able to remember it. Songs, such as this one, take you right back...with many happy memories.
YouTube must be God sent, I never thought, for the life of me, this song would be in the internet, I though I would NEVER hear this song, now, in the flick of the finger, I can hear it, OHHHH memories,.............
Hey mate, could you send us the MP3 File for that song please? Just send us a quick message or whatever with your email address and ill send you a line or somet letting you know it's me then you can just forward us on the song?? that'd be great thanks :)

Yes, this is a great song. However, what's the point of posting this "video."?! This IS a VIDEO site, right? Video usually involves actual MOVING images, right? Preferably involving the actual performer of the song, right? Please stop wasting our time.
Thanks for posting the original, genuine version of Herman's Hermits' "Don't Go Out Into The Rain." I remember when this song came out, in the summer of 1967, when I was 11 years old, and just getting into music, listening to the radio and later that year, starting to buy 45's. I think this song actually went to #1 on the local AM radio station where I was living at the time, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (WOSH).
I am a couple years older than you and it IS such a beautiful, simple, and feel-good tune. Too bad we don't hear it on the oldies stations at all. I bought their CD when I was in England. Glad to share.
For many years, Herman's Hermits came to sing on the beach of Santa Cruz, California for the summer free concerts. Peter Noone still looked pretty good and sang very well. He was also an entertainer.

I remember another version of this song by another artist(s). The intro contained a whole-tone musical scale. Anybody know?

I disagree about it wasting out time. The sound quality is great, it's a great song and it is very hard to find. That is the point of posting it.
