  • One of those 'can't help but feel better' songs. Uncomplicated, and fun, lyrics...and great music to boot. I still have the original 45 rpm, which belonged to a friend of my sisters, back in 1967...when teenagers made the rounds of their friends'. houses...with their favorite records in hand. It was a nice, simpler, time...and I'm glad to be able to remember it. Songs, such as this one, take you right back...with many happy memories.

  • Peter's got the range going on.

  • YouTube must be God sent, I never thought, for the life of me, this song would be in the internet, I though I would NEVER hear this song, now, in the flick of the finger, I can hear it, OHHHH memories,.............

  • Hey mate, could you send us the MP3 File for that song please? Just send us a quick message or whatever with your email address and ill send you a line or somet letting you know it's me then you can just forward us on the song?? that'd be great thanks :)

  • I remember The Swinging Blue Jeans version of this!

  • I remember another version of this song by another artist(s). The intro contained a whole-tone musical scale. Anybody know?

    U.W.

  • Thanks a lot for posting this beautiful song...have been wanting it for years...curiosity sake who is the original singer...Herman Hermits or David Garricks

  • Great !

I have been trying to find this song since I first heard it in Singapore in 1967

  • @SJW439 I'm from Singapore.. Did they come here then? I wouldn't know, I wasn't even born! :)

  • @princetongerl Hi, This is Herman's Hermit's centering on Peter Noone. Everything is on youtube. Xiexieni!

  • I disagree about it wasting out time. The sound quality is great, it's a great song and it is very hard to find. That is the point of posting it.

  • The Groovie Ghoulies version is incredible...

  • I really like this song, lots.

  • A classic if i ever heard one!Awesome song and great vocal.

  • Now if someone can find a video clip of Herman's Hermits playing this song, that would be fantastic!

  • Thanks for posting the original, genuine version of Herman's Hermits' "Don't Go Out Into The Rain." I remember when this song came out, in the summer of 1967, when I was 11 years old, and just getting into music, listening to the radio and later that year, starting to buy 45's. I think this song actually went to #1 on the local AM radio station where I was living at the time, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (WOSH).

  • I am a couple years older than you and it IS such a beautiful, simple, and feel-good tune. Too bad we don't hear it on the oldies stations at all. I bought their CD when I was in England. Glad to share.

  • @oldibutgoodi54 Shall I be third of the trio to be formed? HH is special.

  • For many years, Herman's Hermits came to sing on the beach of Santa Cruz, California for the summer free concerts. Peter Noone still looked pretty good and sang very well. He was also an entertainer.
