@MondoBeno Yemeni Jews spoke Arabic. Ofra is singing in Hebrew here, of course, with a strong Yemeni accent. Yemeni Hebrew is much prized by some for its pure and beautiful sound. I imagine that Sephardim of the old Yishuv spoke in either Arabic, Turkish or Ladino, depending on their origin.
