i have spent so long trying to motivate myself to find an excercise i actually enjoy and i can keep up, and i this is the first i have found so far! definitely going to keep it up and see if i can get toned.

I'm not exactly a genius to these sorta things but if I had to guess I'd say that someone was editing the film at one point or another and it just cuts there, that or it downloaded onto Youtube funky....

Its a major corporation that destroys nature. its unhealthy its full of e nimbers and saturated fat. What about all of that? hi!!! in some way i agree with you...she is doing the outside yoga it is not deep in selflearning but she does explain every detail of each asana very well... offcourse in a very simple way, she shows up just the tip of the iceberg that you can find in yoga way of life...Namâste
Eh for all of the people who are talking about the fact that yoga burn few calories true but for those who arent very active(myself included) any activity is a start and its better than nothing. as people become more flexible theyll want a higher impact workout.
I LOVE yoga, but I'm with Xanthosine here. Basic yoga, like sun salutations, are great for flexibility, balance & maybe toning, but it's not an aerobic activity. Don't be fooled bc you're out of breath! To loose weight, try quick walking / jogging. Model scouts choose girls because they're naturally tall & skinny. And even those who are not anorexic eat a lot less than normal people! I mean, look at how small her bone structure is. She's not thin bc of a 6-minute yoga session (I wish!)

It's actually difficult to think of anything less likely to burn calories. Probably using a Wii burns as much. Face it: Stiles is a model / actress. She has no medical or fitness background. The only people losing calories watching this are guys "admiring the view".
i've been doing yoga on and off since i was 17 but i can't learn those head stands and other hard movements, how do you learn them? The classes i went to just did thebasic stuff.

The deep belly-breathing you are supposed to do in all forms of yoga speeds up the metabolism. It also strengthens the muscles which cause you to burn more calories 24/7. Hope that helps!
She should have talked about how important breathing is, how for the movement to be effective you need to exhale as you go into down dog and you need to inhale when coming up from the forward bend so there isn't pressure on your lower back. Plus the proper deep breathing gets more oxygen to your muscles which will enable you to work harder for longer = more weight loss.
hey, that was just an advice. I was just saying that if you eat less salty(tamasic food) and don't eat meat(rajasic food) and don't drink alcohol plus the work out and do the most of the things that you should do if you're going to practice yoga, then you'll start to lose weight and be healthier.
No sports can give that effect. You'll only gain nasty stretch-marks mostly on your thighs and calves if you ever do lose that amount of weight that fast. Yep, no one seem to remember about these white scar-like marks, very hard to make go away ! Be sure to exercise reasonably on a regular basis. =)
no, its not, yoga is just stretching your muscles, the best way to lose weight is to simply cut sugars out of your diet, ( you have to watch out where those sugars are coming from and be careful about it) and follow the food guide closely. Getting your heartrate up to your recomended fat burning zone is important when you work out too,or else youll do alot of work with no weightloss.
I would suggest first jogging, because most of women's problems come from their thighs. Remember to stretch out at least 5-1o minutes before any physical activity, and then 15 minutes afterwards (or 15 min of yoga).
Losing weight doesn't mean not eating anymore, but eating right. 5 fruits and vegetables a day, try avoiding sodas and over-salty/sugary food.
Sports examples, to practise on a regular basis (2-3 hours spread out on a week) :
Jogging, gymnastics, bike, fitness, martial arts..
No bashing... But if you're going to practice yoga, you need to do more than just 1 hour a week. 15 minutes a day every day is better than 1 hour a week once a week. You're more likely to injure yourself if only practicing once a week.

Oh man. Tara makes this look so easy, but I was breathing hard and starting to feel tired after just one full run-through--& I've always thought I was in good shape. (Although in my own defense, I have about the weakest arms in the universe, so all of the downward dogs really took their toll haha.) But I'll definitely be adding this to my routine; I've been looking for a way to change things up a bit & also work in some informal yoga. Thanks for the video, Tara.

hey everyone. I've tried this workout for one week. I have not checked my weight yet but i want to do it for two weeks first.
However, your legs get really nicely toned, and smaller, as well, my upper body is alot stronger, ive already noticed.
Ill let you knoow my weight change in 7 days.
You should all try it. Its very challenging and strengthening.

She says to hold poses for a few breaths. She has just gone through the poses, not the full routine, so it would be a bit longer than 6 minutes.

I believe Hatha is a slower paced form of yoga, so people who are looking to lose weight would probably choose Ashtanga instead.

No sports can give that effect. You'll only gain nasty stretch-marks mostly on your thighs and calves if you ever do lose that amount of weight that fast. Yep, no one seem to remember about these white scar-like marks, very hard to make go away ! Be sure to exercise reasonably on a regular basis. =)

no, its not, yoga is just stretching your muscles, the best way to lose weight is to simply cut sugars out of your diet, ( you have to watch out where those sugars are coming from and be careful about it) and follow the food guide closely. Getting your heartrate up to your recomended fat burning zone is important when you work out too,or else youll do alot of work with no weightloss.

I would suggest first jogging, because most of women's problems come from their thighs. Remember to stretch out at least 5-1o minutes before any physical activity, and then 15 minutes afterwards (or 15 min of yoga).
Losing weight doesn't mean not eating anymore, but eating right. 5 fruits and vegetables a day, try avoiding sodas and over-salty/sugary food.
Sports examples, to practise on a regular basis (2-3 hours spread out on a week) :
Jogging, gymnastics, bike, fitness, martial arts..

No bashing... But if you're going to practice yoga, you need to do more than just 1 hour a week. 15 minutes a day every day is better than 1 hour a week once a week. You're more likely to injure yourself if only practicing once a week.

I Think It Depends On How Much Weight You Tend To Lose.
Try Other Types Of Exercise .. Like Going To The Gym,
Depending On Where The Weight Is, Your Gunna Have To Do Different Exercise's ..LOL
Sorry I Dont Know Much About Weight Loss, Im On A Diet Myself..

Long shorts are too restricting for yoga. You CAN wear longer shorts, but they will hold you back.

Oh man. Tara makes this look so easy, but I was breathing hard and starting to feel tired after just one full run-through--& I've always thought I was in good shape. (Although in my own defense, I have about the weakest arms in the universe, so all of the downward dogs really took their toll haha.) But I'll definitely be adding this to my routine; I've been looking for a way to change things up a bit & also work in some informal yoga. Thanks for the video, Tara.

i know!! i woz dooing it and wot compeatly out of breath (sort of) after dooing one!! well, i think ive got a good shape, but im looking for something that would make me relax a bit, but this got me compleatley energy full, and i am DEFINATELLY gonna use it after the crimboh holls!! tnx Tara!!
