  • What if you can't spell you're or ball?

  • If you don't understand why most of the comments in this video yammer about being lost, then you're lost. :P

  • song name?????

  • i can spell and im lost :D

  • im scared on jan 7 will be my day to play tt (table tenis) huh i wish i won

    lord help me )

  • If you can't watch the video without commenting the same exact thing, you're loss.

  • MADE IN CHINA

  • When they play i wounder how we can see the ball.. Its a 240p video

  • So this is how my friend kills me every time we play...

  • I think there is an error at 1:06. The direction of the spin reverses upon contact? Is this referring to the spin relative to the last person who hit the ball? The spin, as observed by the ball, does not suddenly reverse unless the swing is powerful enough to counter the spin. One opponent's top-spin is the same as the other opponent's under-spin; without this fact, the explanation of cause and effect is very confusing.

  • THANKS: PING PONG TALKIN BLUES 2 IS NOW UPLOADED....Dan

  • i'm not a native english speaker and the music don't let me listen at all..

  • how can you see the ball spinning!? or do you have to watch the opponents swing?

  • @mynameisjavin I'm always look at how the opponent swings. Im not sure if its the way your supposed to but it always worked for me.

  • @mynameisjavin There's a few ways to watch for spin.

    1) Watch the opponents swing and know which type of rubber he's using.

    2) Very important, watch the trajectory of the ball, if it sails straight, underspend, if it archs, topspin, etc.

    3) Watch the ball itself if, most ITTF approved balls have a black label. Watch the label for the spin.

  • @Swiffers thanksss!

  • I've been playing competitively for a while now, and this is the perfect guide for beginners and those looking to step up their game. Nice job Killerspin.

  • 1:15 if icould just do that in my PE practical...

  • 1:57 ITS A GHOST BALL!

  • this would hav been helpful when i was a noob in pingpong but now that i'm not it has no use for me

  • Dude the music is so frickin loud

  • lol how do you get a side spin like 0:53, that has to be very powerful wrist touch, i can get one that looks like 0:49 but it doesnt go up or downward very much so i dont have to worry about the ball getting too high.

  • I agree, hitting an underspin ball, off of the rubber will result in the downward trajectory, incramentally arcing into a top spin axis. To better illustrate, imagine if your tire was turning at 2,000 rpm's, and suddenly it stopped dead..... there would definitely be a bump, causing forces to transfer from the tire in a backward, up, motion, causing you to spend $50, within at least a week, on a front end alignment.

  • The racket changes the spin of the ball because it changes which way it rotates but because it changes which way it moves (and the ball still rotates the same 'direction').

  • I'm on the way to master the back and fore spin...:D Topspin is not suiting with me..

  • you'r really giving me something instead of expertvillage

  • this is the best video of this kind i've ever seen:)

  • I started off laughing at this music, but by the end it was heavy as hell.

  • does any 1 here play table teniss? i got a joola kool extrm

  • @alirat5

You're asking people who are watching a table tennis vid if they play table tennis? Sure this is a rhetorical quesion right?

  • smash it as hard as possible as it rises with the aim of getting it to bounce over the opponents head. im not very good at table tennis but ive got a*'s in physics so i know what im talking about. i hope you enjoy yourself. DK

  • as you bring your hand down, it will give you underspin, ie backspin, this will make it land on the table and stop but instead of going toward your opponent, it will make in effect a right angle maneuvre and make the return near impossible. i won a tournement on this move so dont try it, ok. it will probabl fail so all i say is be careful and be ready for a dangerous return be getting into a forehand ready stand will you weakest leg leading (nearest the table) and (to be continued)

  • hit the ball with a flat hand that is facing 45 degrees towards your opponent. if you want it -> way then you want your hand closed on the backhand stroke, but the easiest way to counter this is to recognise the sidespin along horizontal axis asap and put your bats bottom edge 1cm off the table, 1.5 cm behind the impact point, this will not allow it to strafe the table (and therefore evade your bat) and also reverse the spin so your opponent gets the effect, if you hit the ball (to be continued)

  • @abodxox retard

  • yo :-) thankS a LoT

  • can someone tell me how to do 0:54 ?

  • @crazyphilly555 well to play side spin i wait for the ball to come right down and u need to hit it low, with the paddle nearly vertical you need to cut the ball on the right hand side. the ball will spin and also move from right to left in the air.

    hope this helps

  • @crazyphilly555 : hit the ball under with a horizontal stroke.. :D

  • i just play with my insticts

  • @mckinney456 fuck you man,and if you don't like it don't wacht it

  • boooring.....

  • antonio nunes

  • i love getting ultra stoned and playing ping pong ha its amazing! i think it makes me better too lol

  • @mikegrove86 I do this all the time, lmao. It's so fun. You'd think it would affect your reflexes, but it doesn't, and it actually might make mine better lol.

  • i do the spin backwards thing it helps me alot

  • i dont spin it like that i spin it so that it hits near the end of their table and then the ball bounces back towards the net from their side, this would screww them over bad

  • My favorite serve is bottom spin....they will hit the net are below almost everytime!!

  • Ya I hope that you would show clearly on how to do a spin and I hope yr method works

  • Guyz, how can one maintain composure during games. I felt that even if you're good enough with any drills or strokes if you don't have proper composure, you're nothing. Like myself, i tend to be in the attack mode all the time which often resulted to lack of controls and miss the points. I'm over excited with every shot. Sometimes my hand hesitates to strike even if it's clear to attack especially on the slow ball. Please help. Any advice or training that could improve your composure? Thanks!!!

  • thanks... i will try that....

  • music too loud cant hear u

  • thanks for this lecture

  • nice...

  • If you cant see what spin is in the boll your lost

  • @AAurel1 : nobody can see the ball spinning. you can only tell what the spin is when you know how to look at how your opponent hit the ball or by looking at the angle of your opponent's racket when hitting the ball.

  • @AAurel1 if you can't spell ball ur lost.

  • @Christmas7995 if you cant spell you're, you're lost

  • @Christmas7995 If you can't correct a wrong grammar, your LOSS.

  • @Christmas7995 jajajajajajajajjaajajaja

  • @Christmas7995 ifboth of you can't distinguish your and you're you're both lost

  • Comment removed

  • If you can't use grammar, you're lost.

  • @Christmas7995

    If you can't spell you're, you're lost.

    (Made a mistake, fix it.)

  • @AAurel1 sometimes your lucky believe me

  • @AAurel1 only amateurs cant see what spins on the ball!!

  • @AAurel1 ya.. figured that the hard way >_>

  • i agree w'th lemoners

  • nice guide thank you am putting every thing at table tennis atm

  • its not that bad.. i did not seem to be distracted from the music

  • use mute button LoL

  • I think it's good

  • well strader333 is correct, but i have another answer, if you take a basketball and spin it clockwise, it will hit the ground and as the principal of relativity states for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, therefore the basketball spins counterclockwise, the same thing happens with topspin/backspin

  • you are referring to newtonian physics (as in Newton's laws), not relativity.

friction causes the ball to change spin direction. the force of friction between the surface of the ball, and the surface it's bouncing off of is strong enough to reverse the direction of the spin.

  • oo soorrryyy!!!! i put the no on a mistake :(

  • i always play with a lot of spin coz my opponents then dont hit the ball in the sweetspot and then its easier to win for me:)

  • no its not a mistake. Thats a characteristic of a normal rubber :). Spin reverses on contact with the rubber, so topspin when go back will be topspin... On the other hand, if its not a normal rubber (the player use, antispin or use a wood surface, the spin will stay the same, that is topspin will become backspin when it returns). Just try if for yourself and see =D

  • an inverted rubber catapults the ball out with its sponger and you will get topspin from a topspin ball.

  • @meterypsy if you push a ball with long pips the spin will also be the same :)

  • @meterypsy it´s not a characteristic only of rubber, but about most things in general, it´s a physics principle.

every action creates an equal reaction on the opposite direction

  • come on guys anyone?? :|

  • it depends on the move you make.

but in general it the spin stays the same.

u can change spin or accelerate it for example with a spin-block.

i think in the video they try to explain that the spin stays the same but it has another direction. and with spin-block u can accelerate the spin u see on 1:10. u have to make a little top spin move very early over the table right after the ball hit the table.if u can do that shot its very hard for your opponent to hit the ball again cuz of accel. spin.

  • Is this video from an instruction DVD? If so, what's the title of it?

  • thanks for the info man

  • how the f*ck you can do the total side spin serve?

  • there's a few ways to do it. Cut it right to left with the paddle facing down, or you can reverse the spin pointing the paddle to the right and cutting left to right. almost like pushing the ball.

  • his name isnt steve its Dan

    WOO DAN

  • Awesome!...but what's with the music?

  • the guy who is specking is my couch his name is steve kunamoto he is so kol go steve

  • niceee! finally they put some scientific vids into seeing spins =)

  • awesome

  • great vid

  • Awsome description of spin.

  • interesting :)
