  • I will never believe that this kind of cable are as good as the one with a good solder... no way the capacitance can be as low

  • haha Slowgear...

  • "the tone just lasts for days and days"

    What's that supposed to mean?

    Otherwise, thanks for the video!

  • @Liamguitargeek '"tone... for days and days" pretty sure he was makin' a little joke there ;)

  • These can be made in 41 seconds and less...

  • I love my Lava RetroCoil but for pedal boards this is a bit of a palaver.George Ls for me thanks very much.

  • is that a john mayer signature strat?

  • nice and circular

  • so you don't use any LOCKTITE or anything to keep the sleeves on?

  • nope. not necessary

  • Great video man, I appreciate it.

    -Ben/The Bum Rush

  • my pleasure! Hope it helped!

  • Thank you for this!

  • hi~the yellow stuff you use is cool~~~what's the name of it and when can I purchase one that ship worldwide?

  • Sorry for the late reply. the yellow wire stripper was included in the kit. I'm sorry, I don't know where to purchase one.

  • dude, get them on ebay

  • @chuenx you can get something similar, electricians use them for cutting light cable and they are called a cord slice i think, any electrical merchants will carry them in stock and they are pretty cheap

  • Thanks for the compliment! It was a fun vid to make. This kit is definitely worth the money, IMHO.

  • u sound just like a smartass.

  • Nice video! What pedal was that silver one at the end of the video?

  • The silver pedal is called the "Blister Agent" by Tim Schroeder of Chicago. He calls it a distortion box, but it sounds more like a fuzz to me. He says that Wilco uses this box for some of their tones.

  • I love the strat. JM rocks eh.

  • I have never used nor do I know much about the Planet Waves kit. But, I've read on forums that people have had success with the cables and seem to be pleased with them. I chose the ELCs b/c of excellent customer service, kit design, and cable sound based on his regular ELC cable. It all just boils down to what we're happy with. Thanks for watching!
