Is that black smoke I see on the top half of the video?!! It's so THICK ...... that's not good ...... but I have to say, Hong Kong co-operated really well, significant difference when they switched their lights off.

Yes, the earth's temperature fluctuates. What is different this time is the speed with which it is happening. It's not taking thousands or even tens of thousands of years. You can believe what you want, but don't discourage others who are not blind to the blatant evidence that has been presented.
Its not meant to combat global warming, and you should feel foolish for even thinking that was the intended goal. Its meant to show that people really do want something to be done on a global scale to combat global warming.
Sigh, although it is a tad demoralizing to see the gaudy glare flare up after an hour. But they did cancel the laser light show, so I guess that's something...

I don't think it's a stupid scheme. Anything that makes people more aware of the world around them can't be worse than doing nothing or knowing nothing at all.
Limiting population is the most efficient way to cut down energy. The earth popuation is 3 time more than what the Earth's capacity. Let's support one child policy and adorptions of abadoned children.
Er... I think you are missing Larry Bud's JOKE! He is implying that with the lights switched off, many people were in the mood for sex. So nine months in the future, lots of babies would be born. And that will create a large carbon footprint, causing unintended effects. It's a funny joke. Too bad you didn't get it.
