The front man's man success shows a pretty strong correlation with the band's success. Crossroads actually pulled in like 60 million dollars too. It got bad reviews but monetarily it did fine.

I'm willing to bet you in 1998 you would've said Madonna had proved herself more than just a flash in the pan simply because of her longevity. Britney deserves that same respect for her longevitiy...unlike sum41, who clearly had no longevity.
