Now, is it possible that constant yelling could hoarse your voice, and then heal but still have a permanent but very viable "rasp?" Im very curious. A family member of mine worked at a concert and had to talk loud alot to give out information, and one week she lost her voice and it came back completely but more raspy but it did not crack, what causes peoples voices to be raspy without nodules?
I hade same problem, after the surgery the doctor told me not to speak laud in 10 days n after that i hade to " learn to speak" from the belly at a speciall doctor, BUT my problem came back n i have to do the second surgery
@anthonyshoap10 the vocal chords are only a muscle, when you pull your back, get a cut or otherwise, your body is able to repair itself. medicine and surgery rely a LOT on the human body's ability to repair itself, I think its probably arguable that the vast majority of medicine wouldn't even work if it didn't take into account the human immune and repair systems.
@xonlyxjojox No, this was preventing this singer's voice from working right. The vocal cords need to vibrate to make sounds, and these polyps, or whatever they are called, were making his cords not vibrate right. This operation was to fix the problem

That looks more like a polyp, not a nodule.

VioletKrystal 2 years ago
@VioletKrystal she doesn't want to get surgery removal because it would prevent her from being able to sing?
