@hkfan1980 Actually, in the commercial it looks like the popcorn is directly on the table, which is of questionable cleanliness to begin with. I think I'd prefer the tray which at least has a paper lining.

I remember when BK did this. Always wanted to try the table service, but just kept thinking: "Well...its not like they're doing it for a limited time...I'll get there eventually..."

Yeah, I remember the concept. Bad execution at local BK locations. Some of the franchises were informally not participating, so the items and service weren't available. I think BK is trying to move back to this because they've rebuilt several locations here and removed the kid's play areas.

I recall Burger King doing this in the late-80s or early-90s. The dinners were only available after 5:00 or so. They also put white tablecloths on all the tables. The dinners were actually pretty good as I recall. They didn't sell the popcorn, they just gave it away. It was extremely salty and you didn't get free refills on drinks back then.
