I am currently waiting for the second printing to be available at my local game store. In the mean time, I have been playing this game at BrettspielWelt. (The computer version is only for 3-5 players.) I'm also curious if they are going to change the components between printings, especially when Asmodee/Repos releases the Rome expansion later on.
The game is currently sold out everywhere. That is why some retailers have it under pre-order because they are restocking. This is a very good game and while I don't own it I intend to purchase it once available again.
It's a common MISconception to ignore distant neighbors, however, it is very crucial to observe what happens across the table to accurately judge what your near neighbors will actually play.
For example, if the player across the table has glass, loom, and papyrus, then you know the chances of your actual neighbor will probably not get that material thus putting you in a tight spot for those resources. Etc.

Sold!
Attempted to purchase but I can't seem to find this game in stock anyplace.
Had to "pre-order" online. Weird...
