question, did the lightening cut smith or just send him to the AHL. i went to the admirals games this past friday and saturday and he was in net for friday and on the bench on sat.

@GoPensGo26 Well to the best of my knowledge Mike Smith was waived by the Lightning however, he is still affiliated with the Admirals. I went to the Admirals/Bears game last Tuesday and Mike Smith started for Norfolk. Dustin Tokarski was backing him up. So I would assume any team could pick up Smith. I could be mistaken. I do know that Mike Smith is still owed $2.2 million by the Tampa organization.
