This run blew chunks...How could the player who did it not use those weapons in all 8 ways, as the game makes possible? Was he trying to play this as close as possible to the original Power Blazer?

@cnh2132 this was my first time playing the game, give me some slack, some1 requested it for me so i gave it a shot, i was also requested the sequal but i couldnt cause it bored me to death

@Spazbo3 I am, thanks why i've asked why you played it like that. The original Famicom game Power Blazer only allowed to shoot on a horizontal pattern. Since the NES port was drastically changed in both design and gameplay (you could shoot in 8 directions instead of 1) i was wondering if the author of this longplay intended to play it as the original. There are runners that choose a harder path (i.e. without weapon upgrades, without powerups, without shooting the small enemies, etc).

Power Blade is basically an amalgamation of every NES trope to ever exist. It's a little too easy and there aren't enough checkpoints, but it's pretty decent considering it's a complete reworking of a very shameless Mega Man clone (Power Blazer).

You found each agent rather fast so I suppose that can be explained by that you've watched other walkthroughs of this game.

nope, i never watched walkthroughs of the game before, i guess i got lucky on where i was going, but i did use a lot of savestates, some where so that if i took a wrong turn i can go way back, but i only needed that in teh second level

I know it's not overly hard game but you were doing little too well for a first time so I assumed you at least knew already what you were doing.

actually, i used a rerecording emulator, which means i used a ton of savestates, but the final recording doesnt show me going through every save and such

When people learn not to trust their lives to any sort of super computer? There's always problems with them.

Anyway thanks for playing this game. Always like a good run with classic gameconsole like NES or Genesis/Megadrive.
