  • why did they close route 66 and where does it start in Chicago,Illinois and where does it end in Los Angeles,California

  • @MrSuperRileymoore the start is downtown Chicago and the end on the santa monica boulevard in LA. I think the route 66 was closed because they build a new interstate highway next to the route 66.

  • These nothing like that here in Australia. Can't wait to see America hopefully next year. :)

  • honest question, why do European people have such a fascination with Rt 66, i'm from New Jersey and it seems nice to ride on if you're running away from parents or starting a new life or something lol but besides that, idk, seems cool but wouldn't be something on my things to do before i die... anybody care to explain why they like it?

    We traveled for 5 weeks on the route 66 :-) but just driving the route 66 would take you between the 12-15 days.

  • we drove from route 66 to get to MS, well, starting from kingman az, going through tucson, phoennix, albuquerquee NM, santa fe, Amarillo, TX, san antonio, houston, dallas, and wichitaw falls, i think got off of 66 in lafayette, LA

  • @funtyrone ....Historic Route 66 doesn't go through San Antonio, Houstin, Dallas, or Wichita Falls, nor does it even go through any of Louisiana.....

  • @fambruinsma Good old route 66 i got to drive half of it 2 years ago i went from Dallas to LA then up to San Fran. Just wondering but what was your favorite part of the route mine was the Mojave desert and Death Valley

  • @Awasman777 We liked New Mexico and Arizona the best! In Illinois is not much to see allong the route 66.

    I hope one day I will drive my own car on that road

    But it will be very long till there...couse I'm just 17 and I'm from Romania :((
