Also, she never said she was being a princess lolita. She just said it could be a princess like hairstyle. I've seen many gothic lolitas with messy hair, it all depends on the look you are trying to convay. Not to mention not all "Hime" lolita needs to be staight-laced, messy hair does NOT ruin a look! Infact with her facial structure messy flyaway hair looks quite well.

Simple question. Is the makeup for loli supposed to me a little more tame? I may be completely wrong in this though.

I thought even for the "darker look" the make-up is still supposed to be natural and "young looking" like the make-up was for victorian girls (actual girls, not the ones that had reached maturity i.e. 6-10).

Um, I'm giving her critique so she can learn and get better. Her makeup is smudges and messy, and her hair is frizzy and not styled all that well. It is a mediocre tutorial and her outfit, from what I can see of it and speaking as a lolita of 4 years, is not acceptable lolita in the least.
