That is probably one of the best kept Talking Book Corporation Releases I've seen. Well done :)
In the archives and digitally restored, I have "The Mocking Bird" (1918), "I am a Lion" (1918) and "The Tiger" (1919). Since all three of them were played to pieces almost, it was a great difficulty to clean up the sound from the worn grooves (As well as the fact that the three Talking Books only ran for about a minute each). None the less, it was worth the time, care and attention given :)
I have read about the Talking Books by Emerson...but never seen one untill now.! Plays well with the fibre needle! Real time piece! Thanks victrolaman for sharing your knowledge and collection!
You are very welcome. Yes, this appears to be the only example of an early Talking Book record on You tube. Very unusual to come across one in this type of shape, both the book and record are in fabulous condition for 90 years !!
