  • Lovely white sneakers-I see a trip to A & E, NOT ONE ITEM OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT-SORRY PAL-YOUR NOT SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE-ARE YOU ???

  • How about at least wearing gloves and goggles as a bare minimum for safety?

  • tighten your chain bud

  • Yep, the 455 is probably better than the 290- but there are pro and cons to everything... Ole Brian like the 'kewl shoes' and it's the first Stihl he ever picked up!

  • I've got a farm boss, I wish I got the 455 Rancher by Husky.

  • dam.........sharpen that chain lol! and let it warm up for about a min before you start to acually cut if its a cold start and it has not been used in a while

  • ive been using this saw nonstop. Im here in new england and this thing is my baby..chain was dull and i used a tiny echo piece of junk for a few hours until i got my replacement chain. It felt so good to go right through like butter, especially with hundreds of trees that i had to clear.

  • I've used that saw. Better off with a smaller bar, it always bogs down. My cs 400 echo kicks its lilly @ss

  • tighten up your chain a tad... it helps keep the grove clean and oiled you'll keep it sharper and cut str8er

  • he probally has a shitty chain cause i cut woods like crazy and i got a reall agressive chain and i cut threw shit like its notihn.

  • my ms290 eats that one. Yours needed sharpening

  • really old man vans

  • dude wtf with the skater shoes

  • he proly skates dude

  • without a doubt, I have a 028 that has not been 'redone' and it eats this 029 all day long. Not even a comparison is ya ask me.

  • @mcovey12

I just bought a Farm Boss and I am really concerned because it does not appear to be oiling the chain. I went through a tank of gas and the oil level barely moved. I feel the chain and can feel no oil. Also, the two big nuts for loosening the bar get so hot, you cannot touch them. I am hearing that this is normal. Is it on yours?

  • @nossful same here i was using mine yesterday and it has a brand new chain that is very sharp and it just is so hot

  • @nossful You might be able to adjust how much bar and chain oil your saw uses. It depends on the model. Some models come with an adjustment screw and others don't. If your saw has an adjustment screw you can find it underneath.

  • @nossful Turn the oiler up its on the bottom..

  • I have 028 av woodboss that was made in 1979 that i have redone and it would smoke that new one

  • exactly what my dad has he let me cut up a tree with it the other day it was awesome im trying to talk my dad into an ms170

  • yeah 20 inch is a littlee big though 18 would be my choice that saw has 3.8hp unless u cut real hardwood then u need 16 inch bars

  • @pethick123 This saw is designed for an 18" bar, but it will run just fine with a 20". 20" is the max though. Put anything larger on it and you're going to have trouble.

  • 56 cc best with 16"

  • Nice saw. I have one. Tighten your chain big daddy!

  • It was a nice lil saw- I sold it a few weeks ago. I liked it and it was easy to start. Making room for newer ones. Thanks,

  • Nice machine I have one of those, lots of power.
