Was at this gig, fantastic night. Perhaps I had 1 too many lagers from the bar, but I remember how great this track sounded with the heavy bass resonating in my head for the next few days.
Thanks for this. This is one of my fave songs from one of my fave albums, one of the most criminally underated albums ever. Prefer the lp version and the Au Pairs version as they are so stripped back which is totally suited to the subject matter. Here his latest musical collaborators overplay as usual and kill the tension. Page does an adequate job towards the end along with Mike but it is no replacement for Belew. Listen to his note bends on the original chilling. Good though.
as soon as i heard this song i got into it STRAIGHT away.... I was like addicted for about a month hahahah... listened to nothing else... know all the words now :D
It took me quite much time to get really into the song, but it's now one of my favourite Lodger and David Bowie compositions. Thanks for posting it; nice performance!
Lodger has always been one of my fave Bowie albums. Alot of innovation and experimentation went into its recording. "Move on" is my favorite song on the album.
Great Song, never heard it live before, so thanks a lot!
... But I don´t like the cinmatography here, because this song is quite without any motion. And the Camera tries to add motion. the director / cutter didn´t understand it, I think...
There were several live versions performed in 1997, but they don't appear to be around on YouTube. At least one performance was taped, he played it for the Pay Per View audience right before his 50th birthday concert... Maybe it'll turn up some day :)

See, and I think The AuPairs' version is very good indeed, but NOTHING compared to The Gentleman's. So, let's agree to disagree, Benzane25 :-)

I love that little parody at the beginning of what he said at the last Ziggy show -- he has such a great sense of humor!
