Great video, thank you for posting. Helped me to prepare mentally so I could do the job in one evening after dinner and drive to work the next morning.
How long before you check and adjust bearing play with these new units? Couple of thousand km's to let them settle I guess? (I don't race it I just drive it fast on the freeway on a daily basis).
Keep on posting your video's I find them very useful and entertaining.
Thank You ! You are personally responsible for my gain in confidence , I am now going to attempt this along with other major service. With your help , my old girl will run again. Much Thanks !
@bastafari83 - No, unfortunately, the rear is much different. It's a large sealed bearing pressed into the control arm with the stub axle going through it to turn the wheel hub.
hey vsvenson - you seemed to do the bearing pretty tight? I thought you are supposed to be able to move the washer when the bearing is correctly adjusted?
@whiteknight1978 - I believe the spec is, you should be able to get the washer to move by pushing at it with the tip of a screwdriver... I take that to mean, snug, with no play, but not overly tight.
thanx man this helped me al lot.. hopfully 944 turbo / s2 is the same as 968.. i'll see in 2 day's when i am gonna swap the wheelbaring hub.. thanx for this tough ;)
