Game looks the tits yes indeed, but may i remind you that its not all about eye candy for a sim racer. Online netcode and support off dedi servers should be there to, and knowing the specs so far im not realy impressed and im afraid that online netcode could be a big disapointing for this game, i understanded max of 12 to 15 people online?? In our league racing with rFactor we run with 26 cars and broadcast / admin crew up to 30 online without having lag. Is that possible to with this game?

Don't know if that's recommended or minimum but I have a feeling that it's going to look good even if you don't have the highest settings. Don't know what version it's in the vid but I bet that even at slightly lower settings it will look at least as good as the 360 version, which I first thought about getting. But I'll get the pc instead since I have a pc wheel (I have a slightly worse pc than you).

it will be more arcade than sim, has to be that way because simulation racers are flops, i expect the pre order sales have already passed rfactors total sales, people keep going on about handling and this and that when they have no idea how a real f1 car handles in the first place, they do a lap in under 2 minutes on rfactor and think they are pros lol, i've seen proper pro drivers take 30 minutes to get an f1 car around the track, it would take us a day.
LOL, simulation + codemasters = flash no substance.. Look sand pit at 6.57min thats weird handling... Ive lost hope for codemasters and simulation games longtime ago. Look at games like GP4, F12002, Rfactor and richard burns rally if u are enjoying racing simulation games.
Agreed with rew83 a true simulation mode and not just arcade physics with driving aids off.. However, i would like to see true to life crashes with spectacular roll overs, Which triggers some of the most amazing and startling sights seen in racing. Grand Prix 3 from MicroProse/Crammond Grand Prix series on PC had amazing crash damage and physics true to life.
@jimmaras01 It's because he went off the track onto the gravel. Then eventually the water on the track washes it off so you can see the tyre and the white line again. Pay attention next time buddy; but don't let this mistake get you down, keep your head up.

@HousedanceTanL we were using a wheel but cause it was pre-alpha they did not have finetuned the handling so so turning a wheel 10 degrees = like 50-60 degrees in game thus it was very sensitive.

Not even rFactor's physics engine is considered a complete sim. Hell, Live For Speed is more sim than rFactor. In real life your race would be over if you got yourself in the gravel pits. Look at this video where he reverses and then gets out of the gravel. Yeah it's a beta blah blah blah but calling this a true sim is like calling a Big Mac with supersized fries a healthy meal.
@supercooled you shouldn't be a critic this early, codemasters is finally offering us a fine ass F1 racing game.. since the last one we had was what in '02? (not counting the mods for GP4... you should appreciate what they are doing and expect the best

@soundfx68 from reviews and other videos I have seen/heard there is an arcade mode which was what Codemasters were demoing on the night. There will be like a hardcore sim mode for people who want to drive properly with all the tyre wear and damage features etc. It look great so far and let's hope it gets better!

weather system? ok gran turismo is clean and sharp, and dont get me wrong im a massive fan and cant wait for GT5, but this game looks sharp whilst still having a half decent realistic look to it.
the Ford GT in GT, the steering wheel chrome would reflect the road when the car floor should be reflected? im not saying this game will have perfect graphics, but neither did GT5P, so surely they can be compared?

I hope for once Codemasters makes the game enjoyable to play with a steering wheel. Grid was awful with a wheel.

What a laugh.
Not even rFactor's physics engine is considered a complete sim. Hell, Live For Speed is more sim than rFactor. In real life your race would be over if you got yourself in the gravel pits. Look at this video where he reverses and then gets out of the gravel. Yeah it's a beta blah blah blah but calling this a true sim is like calling a Big Mac with supersized fries a healthy meal.

@supercooled you shouldn't be a critic this early, codemasters is finally offering us a fine ass F1 racing game.. since the last one we had was what in '02? (not counting the mods for GP4... you should appreciate what they are doing and expect the best

@fuZionRome The last "fine ass F1" walked by in '06, and it seems to still be ahead of this one judging purely on visuals.
And the cars seem to steer from the center point of the body instead of the front wheels. So, the very basic gameplay will be affected as result.

muy bueno el juego pero si ea sport volviera a tener la licencia dejaria pendeja a sony y a codemaster y aun con unas graficas mas desarrolladas para las consolas modernas. hahahhaha quisiera ver eso y en especial en especial una nueva version de career challenge hah seria genial es que con electronic arts no lo compara nadie ni mucho menos nintendo microsoft y sony pero primero tengo que espera a que llegue esta nueva edicion 2010 que codemaster y para las pc sus mods jajaja pobre rfacor

@soundfx68 from reviews and other videos I have seen/heard there is an arcade mode which was what Codemasters were demoing on the night. There will be like a hardcore sim mode for people who want to drive properly with all the tyre wear and damage features etc. It look great so far and let's hope it gets better!

weather system? ok gran turismo is clean and sharp, and dont get me wrong im a massive fan and cant wait for GT5, but this game looks sharp whilst still having a half decent realistic look to it.
the Ford GT in GT, the steering wheel chrome would reflect the road when the car floor should be reflected? im not saying this game will have perfect graphics, but neither did GT5P, so surely they can be compared?
lets not forget this is still pre-beta.
