  • wow.....If your gonna demonstrate how to solder at least do it right !

You have enough heat on that valve to melt it into a copper nugget !! lol

  • He is soldering wrong!

  • this is the wrong way to solder a fitting , just another unlicensed entity butchering a installation.

  • I was going to comment on how much this guy butchered the job, but everyone beat me to it!!

  • how did he get his degree ,online!

  • Where did this joker learn how to solder? The flux should be brushed on the outside of the copper as well as the inside hub of the ball valve. He should also heat the bottom of the hub, not the pipe. As soon as he is done soldering, he should have a wet rag ready to cool the body of the ballvalve. I`ve been a plumber for over 30 years and I have seen home owners do better soldering than this guy.

  • Be sure to get the right help from an expert plumber. It can save you a lot of time and money and even frustration. Don't rely on your own knowledge to get the plumbing done.

  • lol interesting. you could just hir a plumber at miimarket.

  • I hope he doesn't hold a journeyman plumber license

  • Solder paste ... I think he means flux. Then he heats the ball valve, I guess to warp the seals. Then he does not wipe the solder off the joint. And his joints look like crap.

Expert village more like village idiot.

  • Online plumbing help at vpvirtualplumbing on the web is avalible now!

  • It's soLder not sodder !

NON expert village...full of village idiots more like !!!

  • FLAME ON BOTTOM SOLDER ON TOP FOR EVEN FLOW DUMB ASS

  • lol

  • I watched 10 better videos "copperteeth" has a good two part video to watch Soldering Copper tube: Do it right the first time (1 of 2)

  • This should be flagged

  • No expert here for sure! Whadda Joke!

  • hahaha this made me laugh, way to much heat, not even using the right part of the flame on the joint and hes lucky his joint hasnt split with all that movement. expert village my arse :)

  • dude i honestly dont know what to say....ive been doin this 7 years now and that is not good....not good at all!!!! find a new job

  • i watched the first videos for this he obvs tried soldering the fitting

with water you the pipe first and failed

i thought my apprentice was bad.....

  • OMG! Total Hack Job< I dont even know where to begin, as all was described wrong and dangerously in this video! Shame on you for feeding such wrong info.

  • wtf? the water will leak like hell lol

  • wow, you have to stop giving plumbing tips and get some some plumbing education for yourself before someone gets hurt..

  • you are going to hurt someone with these videos,, you may think you know what you are doing but you dont . if you cannot give a proper STEP by STEP instruction , STOP doing this , and if you think someone wont get hurt by watching this you are immoral and selfish

  • im in my first year at college and i personaly think i can do a better job than that...

  • I had to comment, so many things wrong with that, im embarresed for him. I would never hire that guy!

  • rookie

  • another thing... you should allways secure the item you are soldering... not having it rolling around on a few blocks.

the hottest part of the flame is also just after the first blue rim...

  • further comments...

don't heat the fitting too much as obviously it contains plastic/rubber seals... these will melt and cause the valve to be faulty...

secondly... you didnt use enough solder. more solder should be used untill a drip occours on the underside of the join...

the paste you spoke of is actually "flux" which allows the solder to flow freely.

i think you should have mentioned that you are using Lead-free solder... as leaded solder is not suitable for potable water.
