  • did he commit a crime, somewhat, by the letter of the law yes, but to incarcerate him is stupid, costing taxpayers exponentially more money then he caused in damages to a private company

why not do this...the court orders the man to auction off his artwork, 360$ of the money he gets from it goes to the company, the rest goes to the city, not only that but instead of putting him in jail you give someone a chance to show off his talent and if he gets somewhere can contribute more to society.

  • Technically he committed the crime, but that's still an awesome barrel thing. If I saw that on the side of the road, it would make my day.

  • I really love this, but those cones cost alot and they were there for a purpose to protect workers and drivers from accidents. Look at it like this, for drivers to suddenly come up on a humanoid figure leaning towards the road, it could startle them and cause them to swerve and wind up in an accident.

But that being said, just make him pay for the cones and let him promise not to use construction equipment without permission, don't send him to jail!

  • send him 2 art school he has some talent

  • more ugly jew freaks with a queer nigger. fuck all these jew freaks who call themselves young turks.

  • someone should shoot these 2 nasty jews freaks. they did not even report where this happened. what an ugly black queer.

  • I would pay to put that in my driveway

  • Gorilla man is a fucking dumbass he makes me so mad. i want to shove a shotgun up his ass and pull the trigger again and again and again and again and again and again

  • well he stole somebody's shit. that would piss me off. if he pays the money back then thats cool i guess.

  • that would actually get traffic to slow down through work zones. the state should hire him to build more of these!

  • u guys suck really bad at anchoring, seriously quit, especially u piggy boy

  • I am so surprised at how many people believe it is perfectly fine to take city property and just mess with it. Sure its creative but hey... would you want someone to steal your stuff so they can make art?!?!?! That is not okay I think hes creative but got what he deserved. If anyone wants to comment me saying how stupid this comment is and how art is no crime than fine go ahead just be prepared to be corrected.

  • @methink1029 - Your comment is stupid and art is no crime.

  • @TheGameraider86 If you steal property and make art out of it then yes art is a crime.

  • ARTISTIC FREEDOM FTW!!

  • thats awesome, sucks he got arrested but he saw it coming

  • the Law might be harsh, but the Law must be Followed

in the first place, he should have bought his own barrels

  • WTF!

He destroyed government property. How is that NOT a crime?

  • @celestialsalamander It's not goverment property, it's private property of the company.

  • @grobo11 it's still someone's property.

  • Liars!

  • I am feeling creative... I want to go to your house and see what I can take to make my artistic creation. What do you think about that?

  • He should have to pay restitution and that's it, charge dropped after that. We cannot move away from the fact that he did deface city or govt property. So... $360? NP, have him pay it and end it.

  • NC represent :)

  • i love it when they mess with ana like that, shes so adorable

  • i want one of these things only made out of dumpsters and monster truck wheels to scare away my nosy little neibors

  • thats how we roll hahahahaha

  • The dumb cops could have sold it for more than $360, made a little profit off the guy and let the poor dude go.

  • dear cops, thanks for protecting us from the barrel monster. You're my hero! Somebody get these men some medals!

  • 360dolls of damage?? kick the small man??

what about tones of cocaine that clinton delt around the world so hard that it even came into europe through his hands?

  • My mom's friend's son made this.

    Dead serious.

  • @Coonshake NAME DROPPER!!!!

  • If they even made him pay the $360, he should get to keep the artwork.

  • OH GOD KILL IT KIIILLLL ITTTTT D: with fire

  • FUCK THE POLICE

  • Joseph Carnevale

  • art aint a crime! it's an awesome way to recycle

  • why not give the artist some credit by mentioning his name. it's a little parasitic to use this story to bllather on but not give the artist the respect of mentioning his name. do you have any integrity at all?

  • home of the free my ass, this is just the kind of stupidity our forefathers were trying to get away from. I hope zombie George Washington eats that judge's brain. make him reimburse the company of course but that's it. no charges

  • That art is incredibeast.

  • cool as hell and h shouldn't have any criminal charges put on. Still I'm going to walgreens rearranging their coke display outdoors and then demand the city pay for what the company charges me. The anchor guy is an idiot and ana is right

  • @samauripizzacats101 Your objection is overruled on the grounds of how wicked awesome that barrel monster is.

  • @CENSOREDFORSEX hmm i stand corrected

  • @samauripizzacats101 Glad you understand lol

  • @CENSOREDFORSEX lol yeah it's just one of those issues i can see both sides of. It is incredible and there should be no charges but same time the guy has to know if he does this there could be a fine. Hopefully the hype got him paid by someone out there looking for talent

  • That looks so freaking cool!

  • love it! this makes life worth living let the kid go!

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!

  • nananananananana BARREL MAN!!!! nanananananananana BARREL MAN!!!

  • WillShakespeare2007 your right these ass holes make me sick they know the whole story because there obviously not known for being the show that says'' find out here first'' they just play dumb and make what ever kind of story they want, sad because they arent even good stories.and the fat sweaty host guy is disgusting , he looks like he stinks in that same suit he wears every week. if you shook his hand he is probably clammy as hell. just gross take these dick heads off the air at least the guy

  • @coaly13 why ?cause he saying something thats wright..or is he to democratic for you....u sound silly, and bitter.

  • this reminds me of the midnight knitter

  • it looks cool and all but too much spare time, if he wants to do art just go graffiti bombing or go paint murals on people houses or roads or get a job working in art, not look for random construction barrels and just build a monster that I can build wit plastic cups seems kinda just like the ZOMBIES AHEAD RUN on the detour sign, its just a way to be funny and too much spare time with skill that could be used for better things

  • THAT'S THE COOLEST THING IVE EVER SEEN BESIDES THE SINK HOLE IN GUATEMALA!!! NO WAY HE SHOULD OF HAD ANY JAIL TIME AT ALL!

  • He should pay $360 dollars but should get to keep the barrel monster so he can sell it as a piece of art.

  • He should stop macking fun of republicans!!! i mean about 1/2 the country in republican so he should really stop its really offensive!

  • @dduckgirl Why should he stop? I mean they make it way to easy, and it's fun for all the sane people watching this show.

  • @killerhoboz Well if being a democrat was a good thing then obama wouldnt have doubled out national debt in his 1st yr in office now would he and anyway democrats dont have any respect for republicans we are all people who want wwats best 4 this country and we have a right to believe what we want we dont try to offend u guys but u guys out of ur way to try 2offend us

  • @dduckgirl learn to spell you republican fucktard.

  • Now if the barrel monster was real and was alive it would be great help to save lives from drunk drivers! i artist myself and draw monsters from my mind i say it's looks totally awesome

  • I like this one.

  • wow.... 'take it to the Armenian community and see how that works for you'.... genocide joke much?

  • They shouldn't arrest him...they should make him pay the owner of the barrels the $360 he owns and leave it be at that.

  • They want people to slow down in work zones, well that thing will do it,damn they should have them at every road work site.

  • HE took State Property and f*cked it up. What if I took your car and made "art" out of it. This was a federal crime which only leads to a prison sentence. These people need to read up facts before insulting them. The barrels dont belong to a company or the city of raleigh THEY BELONG TO THE STATE

  • @TheEgyptShow What is it like to sit around making shit up to fit your facist agenda? The barrels belong to a private company that do not wish to press charges and have asked him to produce a copy for their offices for pay. "federal crime"..."prison sentence" where do you pull this crap from....wait I don't want to know.

  • @TheEgyptShow Yea because stacking a few metal barrels are really comparable to destroying a car. This guy did a funny, quite frankly non-harmful deed, and YOU are an idiot. If you think he deserves to go to jail for this, you seriously need to lighten up and rethink your morals.

  • @TheEgyptShow You're a dick.

  • He may not have stolen it but your paying for it, the city paid for those barrels. Good idea, bad execution. Keep him in jail, I bet you people who support him would be PISSED if he STOLE your stuff to make a sculpture.

  • @The209JUGGALO

Check out what the construction company thinks:

    msnbc(dot)msn(dot)com/id/31395158/ns/us_news-weird_news/

  • good point guys. nice

  • Stealing the barrels is the crime if he wanted to do this he should have bought his own barrels.

  • id pay the 360dollars for one for sure put that shit shit on my lawn forget garden gnomes that things the real deal

  • this is why we need LESS cops, MORE community policing. get these dicks off the streets...

  • someone punch that fat guy hes not funny.....

  • It's not really theft because he didn't steal it. It's sitting right there on the road. It's not in his possession.

  • this fat guy who makes these lame jokes should be cancelled

  • Let MAH People Go!!!!!

  • I understand exactly what happened here.

On his way back from a drunken, gay and underage orgy Bill O'Reilly saw this thing.

He thought it was the monster of truth (or libertine pinheads in his words...the lsd made understanding difficult) and was so scared he went and hid in a basement with some cultists of the freaky sort and a lot of guns.

Outraged when he learned the truth he set Fox Security on the guy and is now calling in his solids to continue the case.

    Of course.

  • All the drunk drivers are freaked out.

  • art is art what do u think garfittie is? spelt wrong but oh well lol it is one thing where they spray paint bad words... but when it is just pics and tehy get a fine well.. grr i like it, everytime i drive home when i see that it would put a smile on my face... i hate the GOVNM grrr

  • I went to high school with Joe. He is frickin hilarious and did crap like this there too. Definitely funny and shouldn't be punished.

  • Really, what other sort of stuff, would you please message me to say some of it.

    'Cause this was brilliant stuff.

  • i refuse to allow art to be punished...why does america have no sense of humor? it pisses me off

  • @amp1616 anyway this is art america if we can't express ourselfs what are we going to do

  • i completely agree i wish the goverment was cooler

  • Government is not your friend. Period.

  • lmao I like that art

  • LOL Dick Cheney Orange alert the terrorist are attacking with orange monsters!!

  • lol XD

  • that guy should put those on the highway with signs like "slow down ', 'dont drink and drive' that would just make it even more awesome , but he shouldnt go to jail for that.

  • its awesome, why do they give a f***

  • LET HIM GO!! poor man!!

  • I Like stachue, but we must not encourage the stealing of barrels.

  • yes cuz the other 50 or so barrels aren't enough.

  • when i saw the monster i laughed, it had a funny face XDD

AND cenk stop making fun of republicians you overgrown toad.¬¬

  • Aww, he's just making fun of the dumb ones, he makes fun of liberals too.

  • GENTLEMAN???

I know Joe - artist? yes. party dude? yes. creative? oh, yeah.

    GENTLEMAN? HELL NO!

  • I'm sure someone would buy it off him for more than 360.00.

  • RIDICULOUUUUS that thing is awesome !!!!

  • ART IS NOT A CRIME

  • art isn't a crime? what if somebody ripped out your organs and bones and made something cool, would you still believe it was a crime

  • LMAO

  • @CsTigersC kinda

  • @naiaXriah So don't mind if i come over tomorrow and paint the walls in your house. Oh wait no you own your house, It's not mine to make art with. The discussion isn't about art it's whether or not your allowed to take other people's property and use it for whatever you want. What if he took those cones home and used them as decoration is that cool. What about streetlight's or roadsigns. They're not charging him with art, So i guess your right art is not a crime.

  • @naiaXriah Art is not a crime alright i'ma come by and make portrait on your bathroom wall while your sleeping Then i'll tattoo your face while your sleeping i think that'll change your mind

  • @naiaXriah How about I hack your head off and shove it up your ass and call it an abstract piece of art ? Is it a crime then ?

  • @painkillerzman I would agree with what you are trying to say... taking someones property and making whatever out of it is just wrong and they should be arrested or something...

  • @naiaXriah Art can always be a crime.

  • lol , arrested for that?

  • OMG its Bigfoot!!!!

  • You failed to take into account the high cost of feeding the monster hamburgers.

  • pay him 1'000 to let you keep it

  • THAT IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!

  • lol i want to see him go to get a job doing artwork and there like "oh man i see you go a criminal record" and then u bust out a pic of that shit XD

  • Best. Resume. Ever.

  • that shit is cool as hell.

  • wEIRD...I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL!!

  • just make him pay for the 360 its harmless

  • that is sweet.

  • IT'S A TRANSFORMER! ahhh!

  • just sell it for a thousand or so. id buy it

  • how long did it take him

  • Wow... The dude in the suit is so fuckin' prejudice,.In every video I've seen it's he always makes fun of Republicans, even if it has nothing to do with politics and he's not even funny when he does it. I'm not a Republican nor am I a Democrat, I hate the government, so don't come back sayin: "Oh, you stupid Republicans are so uptight and stupid."

  • that monster looks awesome

  • He needs a life.

  • now, while I am not a fan of stealing, that thing is cool. I would propose allowing the city to keep the monster(donate it to the local Museum), fine the guy the amount of the barrels and some community service(making more barrel monsters maybe). the monster is cool as hell, but I want the guy tried and convicted because I know in the south Construction crews are known to work at night and the last thing we need is someone getting mowed over because of this guys love of barrel monster.

  • fuckin hell haven't the police got anything better to do. the piece is quality and the guy who did it should be fined for the cost of any barrels that he actually made unusable end of.

    guerilla art ftw

  • As long as him taking them didn't interfere with the running of stuff (ie when one steals a stop sign), he should just have a fine.

  • awesome work!

  • So...anyone can steal random objects, make 'art' with them, go unpunished, and get paid for it?!? Sarcasm at its weakest...

  • Art is harmless. And if the police dont want it, then they can put the barrels back.

  • Sounds good to me!

  • werent you at MAMU?

  • aw cute

  • that is awesome!

  • What about selling it to the city for $360 then paying the company.

  • im in 9th grade and im the best artist in my class and that is genuis. i agree with Cenk.

  • arnt you fucking cool fagg

  • Oh Christ! Aren't there any desperate criminals out there that need shooting? Leave the guy alone

  • aw, cmooon hes just doing art and having fun....

  • OMG this is the best thing ever

  • Maybe he just wanted his work seen. He does good work. If he did cost money, then make him pay. But he wasn't hurting anyone and he did a great job.

  • Sure the piece is fun but you are justifying theft and vandalism because you like how it looks. Please let me know what kind of car you drive? I have this great idea for an art piece where I take a blow torch and spray paint to your car in the name of art. I think you will really like it.

  • ehmmmm.... okay..... what does this have to do with the "blow torch and spray paint" bit....?

obviously it wouldn"t have been the same if he did what you said to his/her car or anybody elses car... o.O

    this is art

what you said is not cool

  • Do I need to explain the concept of theft and destruction of private property? The barrels were private property that he stole. It's exactly the same as stealing a car. The question isn't if it's art, but do the police have a right to charge him. The creation of an "art" piece does not nullify the crime, it's not a defense. "Yes, your honor my client did kill a man but the body was then displayed as a piece of art."

I use extreme examples. I'm trying to get you to open your mind and think.

  • ... and I am saying that depending on the case a person should be charged one way or another.... this case is wonderful....

  • no its not the same, barrels arent worth as much as a car, and depending on the value of the item(s) is how long you will be incarcerated or on how much the fine is.

  • oh and barrels arent nearly worth as much as human life. He dosnt need to get arrested just charged a fine.

  • Of course the amount you have to pay for your depends on how much you stole. That's not the point though. Did he commit a crime- YES. It doesn't matter that you like the sculpture. My roommates TV was stolen. He ended up getting a nicer one for free from his insurance. Because he liked the out come doesn't make the guy that took it any less of a criminal.

  • If he took them from a job site than he was endagering the life/ safety of all the motorists and workers. If someone had died in an accident he could have been liable and sent to prison for a long time. Also if they were at a job site then they were being rented at the expense of the local jurisdiction. Jimmy, you are very narrow minded in your thinking on this one.

  • The company that made the barrels didn't want to press any charges. They didn't interfere with anything. They actually wanted to hire him for advertising. So I think YOU shouldn't be so narrow minded when all your knowledge is coming from a 4 and a half minute video. I live in Raleigh were this happened and i probably know more than you about it.

  • Yes it does, people who kill people for justice, are praised by people, like superheroes, they arent arrested, they arent even talked to about his many murders, yet people who kill people for no reason are considered monsters. Same thing applies here, he stole to make a high way better, he didnt steal for personal benefit.

  • The company he stole the barrels from expressed no desire to press charges. In fact they wanted to keep the monster to use it for advertising purposes. The police were just trying to prove a point. Point proven: our justice system is fucked.

  • The company is now a fan of his art and they bought the sculpture.

  • LMAO

that dude is awesome fuck the pigs for arresting him...im sure they were laughing hysterically at it

  • haha that is one dope ass creation

  • Oh my god i know his little brother

  • lol thats unfair they keep the hairy ppl behind glass lol

  • Great work lol the republicans might think it's Dick Chaneys monster on the loose.

  • they should put this in every construction zone awesome work

  • the new detour sighn

  • I agree with ana, while its good and he should get let off, we dont want to encourage that sort of thing because society cant last if everyone starts turning everything they see into art whether they own it or not.

  • I heard an interview with this guy on NPR. First off, I was kind of surprised by his when I saw what he looks like. But anyway, he was talking about how the company that produces those barrels not only doesn't want charges pressed, they want the police to hand over the sculpture so they can use it for advertising purposes.

Everyone thinks it's awesome except for the people who benefit from it being illegal.

Public space belongs to the public. Or at least it should.

  • Sure, make him pay the $360 - give him the barrels, let him post his creation on eBay - everyone is happy.

  • This is awesome! Gets your attention unlike the barrels that people are so used to seeing that they ignore. They should pay him.Cities pay a fortune for art like this. The company they belong to is not pressing charges, let it go.

  • By the way, I love the constant projection by conservatives. They desperately want to suck Reagen's reanimated cock while simultaneously bowing down to pictures of George W @ Jesus Camp and they think that is normal, that that is how all people view their favored political leaders. I mean, clearly that's how dems must feel about Obama because that's how they feel about their guys. It's fucking hilarious and illuminating at the same time.
