  • EPIC WIN 0:12

  • 240p... we meet again...

  • Bastards, The Beatles are much better.

  • Comment removed

  • U2 is one of the best groups that have ever existed

  • Fukin great better cover than original.

  • Charles Manson stole this song from the Beatles... We're stealin it back..

  • I find this offensive.

  • awesome cover! wish they played this when I saw them

  • There needs to be a U2 Rock Band Game

  • Far bigger and better than Beatles, sorry guys

  • fuck this cover makes me puke, that asshole sings like a pussy, need some balls down there, lol

  • @The310886 The Fuck are you doing here than?! Bono's voice is like a pussy?! Go listen to fucking Justin Beiber and stop trolling here.

  • Bigger than the Beatles!

  • I really love fab four, but even Paul Mc Cartney couldn't play that song as fucking great as U2

  • This is a song Charles Manson stole from The Beatles, well we’re stealin’ it back...

  • i'm coming down fast, but right here above you...

  • "This is a song Charles Manson stole from The Beatles. We're stealing it back."

  • Better than The Beatles

  • "I was in Scotland and I read in Melody Maker that Pete Townshend had said: 'We've just made the raunchiest, loudest, most ridiculous rock 'n' roll record you've ever heard.' I never actually found out what track it was that The Who had made, but that got me going; just hearing him talk about it. So I said to the guys, 'I think we should do a song like that; something really wild.' And I wrote Helter Skelter.

    -Paul McCartney Anthology

  • @MadiDinSD

Saw an interview with Paul McCartney where he says this and the WHO song was "I Can See For Miles" Paul said it was a great song, but it wasn't the song that was described so he wrote Helter Skelter because he wanted THAT song that was described.

  • There is no doubt that Paul wrote it. He wrote most of my favorite beatles songs

  • @MadiDinSD why is there no doubt that macca wrote this.?

  • ボーノは、この曲大好きで、ポールの物真似までしてるねえ。

    愛は有るけど、でも破綻が無くて、退屈だ。

    狂気が足りない気がする。

  • excellent cover.

john lennon would have liked this.!

  • @MrArnold1972 john lennon did not write this...

  • @oogalypoogalyman i could argue with you for eternity over that fact but i wont...who do you think wrote it.?

  • @MrArnold1972 paul did innit

  • @oogalypoogalyman are you certain of that.?

  • @oogalypoogalyman john lennon did write this...read his book "in his own right" carefully and john explains the fairground where he got the inspiration for this song.

  • Get the fucking lyrics right Bono. You cunt !!!

  • @CaptainCritical whats wrong with the lyrics.?

    how are they wrong.?

  • @MrArnold1972 How are they wrong? Please, just listen.

  • @CaptainCritical yes ive listened and the lyrics seem the same as john lennons original unless theres something im missing.

you will have to point out the differences and errors with this version because i cant see them.

The lyrics are quite short with this song.i like the original also.

  • @MrArnold1972 The differences are only slight but, in my opinion, make a huge difference.

Mccartney: "You may be a lover but you aint no dancer"

Bono: "You aint no lover but you aint no dancer"

    Also,

Mccartney: "When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide"......etc

Bono: " When YOU get to the bottom YOU go back to the top of the slide"......etc

I'm not splitting hairs here. It's just plain lazy to not sing the correct lyrics to a stone cold classic.

  • @CaptainCritical thanks for pointing those out.

I admit i never took much notice.

ive listened to the original hundreds of times and never noticed these.

u2 have shortened their version.the ending is not complete with this version.

im sure lennon would have liked this version anyhow.

I prefer the original white album song.

I consider bono a big headed bastard but thats just my opinion.

  • U2 are the beatles of the 80's-sure people give out about him now but by the ttime he retires he will be revered like mccartney and lennon i assure you!

  • what a queer ruined the song

  • @0:54 is the most corniest fucking thing ever, too many people cover this track and too many people kill it. U2 have to be the most cheesiest band ever and it was inhumane how they treated such a heavy track. U2 arent noisy enough to cover Helter Skelter it would have suited them better to have covered something like Yesterday or Help or lucy in the sky

  • Just heard the Crue version, it was truly horrible, if there isnt there should be a law against it, U2 version kills everybody elses

  • I miss the Edge's old look!

But still a bad ass band today!

  • Yesh! I fucking can't get enough of it can u!?

  • beatles are the best with this song they made metal and had 27 number ones and they were only around 8 years recording.

  • U2 is 1000 times better than the Beatles111111

  • @4U2byU2 Epic FAIL!

  • @4U2byU2 EPIC FAIL!

  • @4U2byU2 are you retarded??? u2 will never be better than THE BEATLES... 1 song of THE BEATLES it's better than any song of u2... you pretty wanker

  • To paraphrase Bono - "this is a song Charles Manson stole from the Beatles....we're taking it back!" Great version of this underrated Beatles song.

  • this is greattttttt. rattle and hum is raawrsome

  • 0:58

    That was....

    ... strange?

  • I think it's funny how the Crue fans don't even realize it was a Beatles song first (They think it's U2 covering Crue...lol) and I think it's funny how the Beatles fans are so die hard that they refuse to accept U2. My step-mom is a die-hard Beatles fan, but she's also open minded enough to accept and enjoy the music of a band as great as U2. If they cover you or your "band", take it as a compliment. I love all three bands.

  • i usually hate covers, but this is actually pretty good

  • i swear Bono never even sounds like he's trying when he's singing and it still comes out amazing you never hear a strain on his voice the notes just come out so easily.

  • motley crue version is better

    the originall song is better

  • ...you MAY be a lover, but you 'aint no dancer...ahhhggg.

  • why so many haters? lol

this really isn't that bad. U2 is the fuckin shit

  • U2 did a spectacular job on this. I think this is one of the few times a band did a song better than the original.

  • @ibstarmagic I still think the beatles did better

  • this is awful...U2 is a good band but they just dont have the right sound to cover it

  • i prefer the beatles version,, much better

  • yeah, but I must say, it's a damn good cover

  • Full of energy.

    Bono is unbeliveable!

    This is great.

  • this cover is shit.

  • This is epic fail. You don't cover Beatles songs unless you're Paul McCartney.

  • I they did a good job.

  • Totally agree.

  • Absolutely agree

  • ooooooh, Booono!!

  • crue is much better, but its helps people remember a VERY important song for the 20th.

  • ya crue roxx!

  • Yah crue for life 13 13!

  • Motley Crue's version is so amateurish compared to this.

  • @jaamo109 haaaaaaahaaaaaaa no is not this is bad coppy of rattele and hum when they first sung it they have perfected it now

  • no, they did it to remind a great song

i prefer motley's cover, but this is not that bad, pretty similar to the original

  • Thi is shit sorry.

  • Eh, not a big fan of this cover. It doesn't really have as much energy as the song deserves.
