I'm assuming you didn;t get any kind of filming permit. Did anyone bother you, because you were in the water with the fish and filimg? I have an underwater housing for my camcorder, and a pole mount. I missed it this year, but eventually want to film this. Just wondering if anyone was bugging you about harrasing the fish.
There are federal laws protecting water ways home spawning salmon, so you do need a permitt to enter the water. You'll need to contact Parks Canada and DFO.
Strangely this year I didn't encounter a single DFO officer, however in previous years the river is nicely protected by DFO officers, and volunteers.
