Juan Williams has been on the left wing crap list (and even the Republican crap list) since early in the 2008 presidential primary when he accidentally let it slip that Barrack Hussein is a Muslim on Fox News (this was before the rich guys who owned all the media outlets, including Fox News, ordered it hushed up that Barrack Hussein is obviously Muslim). All of this staged furor by NPR's competitors on the left and the right is a big deal about nothing and will be forgotten about in a week.
