  • Please forward my idea to the fish and game from johnsonbui2@comcast.net here my idea build a water slide every ? Meters apart along the wall charge $ 1 feed the 1st year for funding hope that solve the issue

  • @johnsonbui I'll do that, I liked fishing there to

  • I'm glad they closed this spot. When sturgeon limits keep going down, down, down it's good that the fish that would normally die here will grow up and actually be caught later on. Hopefully some day the limit will go back to 10 per year instead of 5... Who knows, but we can only hope.

  • put in a slide then you idiots

  • I used to work in Oregon City and had to drive by these morons every day of the week.Oregon "sportsmen" are the worst example of human Ive ever witnessed in my entire life.I dont know whos worse. These retards or the assholes who block the entire river with their hog lines while trying to false hook every single fish that makes its way upstream.Try a little fucking conservation and sportsmanship you bunch of retards.

  • to bad they closed it. i loved fishing there. caught alot of nice sturgeon there.

  • Close down the wall to these idiots!! Have some respect for these fish!

  • No Fish4true your an idiot hes saying that their fishing for the meat not trying to conserve the fishing so the fish will always be there and wont all die off in that area cause the retards are throwing them off the cliff

  • This is an old video at least 2 yrs old as the director has been Roy Elicker during this time.. Hopefully something has been done by now and they have found a way to deal with the problem.

Either a fishing dock over the river or the suggestion of a half pipe with water like those used in hatcheries.

To jmac171 " Fucking meat hunters all of them"

what is wrong with eating fish that you catch? Seems worse to catch and waste.

  • @Fish4true

If you can't do it properly then don't do it at all. If you can't see what is wrong with this kind of fishing in such an irresponsible spot then you are one of this ignorant people already. Nothing wrong with keeping fishing as long as you follow the rules. Where I am from it is illegal to let your catch spoil so any of those people who throw a fish back which turns belly up you get your vehical taken a fine your gear taken ect.

  • ive been fishing in oregon for 23 years but never really got into sturgeon mainly because ive usually lived too close to great salmon/steelhead habitat but now i moved from newberg to portland i would like to learn to sturgeon fish as the wall is close to my work and my house.

if anyone on here fishes the wall please message me i would like to ask a few questions

  • The OSP Fish and game wardens have the best job in the world!

  • if u really care that much about the fish i'd take the door of a racoon trap and lower the fish into the water with the opening facing up so the fish can only get out when its in the water. i also like colehartl idea with the pipe.

  • Build a place to fish closer to water level... Or simply go fish on the other side of the river

  • Fuck Sturgeon their unclean meat. throw em back up on shore

  • whats a good bait to catch sturgeon

  • i have dropped countless fish off that wall, and it is about a 1/4 mile to the place where it gets river level.

  • Then don't fish there if you can't fish properly. Fucking meat hunters all of them, there is no sportsman in that lot. Even if the fish swims away 90% chance it will die after being stressed and injured. might as well keep every fish, because the ones that are thrown back are dead anyway. Can't believe some ppl in this world its amazing how fuck of a race we are.

  • You know, that's not a bad idea, using a fish slide to get them back down.

I don't think it would work well using a pipe, because there's a chance a fish would get stuck halfway down and render the pipe useless until it was cleared again. But if it was an open-top slide, with running water like a waterslide at an amusement park, it would work.

But the DNR isn't there to find solutions, they're there to complain about problems.

  • @frankfencepostone they would just have to use like 36 inch sewer pipe and it would work just fine

  • WHy dont you just make a couple PBC pipes that run from the railing to to the water... use it as a waterslide for the fish to go back into the water.

  • haha that would be sweet a waterslide for the fish
