well considering its turbocharged, i dont think it has a very high compression ratio. and secondly, there are a lot of things to get rpm to drop fast. a lightweight flywheel being one of them

Very true, so does balancing a motor, and if you're gonna be running 11k a lot you damn well better have it balanced.

It does have quite a high compression ratio around 11:1. And it has a s13 sr20det block and a VE head

11:1 is the stock compression ratio for this engine im sure. this one is not stock, and im sure is running higher PSI than a stock engine, therefor has most likely been rebuilt with internals with lower CR to be able to run higher boost.

No, it uses 11.1 cr CP Pistons, stock compression ration for this engine (sr20ve out of a nissan primera) is 8.8:1.

Congradulations on getting the new car running. You guys have been pushing the SR20 envlope for the past few years now and I just want to say thanks on behalf of the real diehard Nissan guys. Its truely amazing what can be done when the right people devote their time and knowledge into this engine. Looking forward to see it this season!
