Very moving. I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be a vampire in movies and books like this, and in a lot of ways I think it's about an emotional condition. Being a vampire is like having a trauma or hurt for what seems like hundreds of years, that you cannot show in the sunlight, that traps you. There are adults who remain children forever, like Claudia.
