If I buy OSx or any other software, I want to own that product seperate from my computer. So if i decide to get rid of the hardware I can still keep the software. How can that be done over the internet if getting the software only allows you to use that software on the hardware you downloaded it to.
Other then Operating System updates that auto-install, you should be able to download the 'setup' files for the product you want and store them anywhere, even on a portable or USB drive. Then, you could install the software on just about any computer.
