  • We waisted out time on bin laden when we should have sent in the titanium fanged dog to rip this son of bitch's nuts off.

  • such a hated man, and deservedly so...

the country has gone to shit and fox is a major "news" source.....sickening

  • I think Bush getting a shoe thrown at his face in Iraq perfectly summed up the success (or lack of it) of his foreign policy in the Islamic countries. What the general American public needs to understand is that, no people in their right state of mind randomly decide to strap bombs to themselves to go wish death upon an entire nation. There are underlying feelings of anger and frustration which fuel this extreme behaviour on the part of terrorists. Bush simply resorted to war to solve this, idiot

  • Ha Ha.This will come back to bite you on the ass from a long time dude.Don't politicians not yet realise that everything they say is now documented for ever and easily accessed by everyone. You are a liar Cheney.A lot of people died for your lies, but Halliburtons stock rose and your buddies got richer,so I suppose it was all worthwhile.

  • Richard Clarke`s book,"Against All Enemies" clearly spells out the how and why of Bush and Cheney`s failure to stop 911.

  • Could you imagine if everyone thought and behaved like this humpbacked piece of shit? Your doctor tells you have cancer then deny saying it, a mechanic that tells you your engines blown then recants, your kids teacher telling you your kid is a troublemaker but claims that was never said, your accountant claiming you owe years in back taxes then states the opposite. I suppose some sheeple commenting here would find that normal and acceptable. Sometimes you just have to laugh at the ridiculous.

  • Love him or hate him, Cheney is legendary. He is the Prince of Darkness with brass balls, and 10 times the man and leader compared to the whiffleball players named Obama and Biden. I don't think either Biden or Obama could lead a herd of turtles across the street, much less lead a nation like the United States.

  • The blame for the past 8 years should go to this man...Bush was a puppet....manipulated by his administration...he wasn't a smart man...Bush was a kind and friendly man if you ask me...people like Rove, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are the real criminals...Cheney is a disgrace.

  • Please give us an independent investigation of the whole 9/11 situation.Make Cheney & Bush testify separately and under oath, also Rice, Rumsfield, all of them. Everyone should support NYCCAN - "The New York City Coalition for Accountability Now" which is collecting signatures on a petition [in their words] "To place a public referendum for an impartial, independent and subpoena powered investigation of 9/11 on the New York City Ballot for the November General Election." New Yorkers-sign up now.

  • Cheney is a criminal! Jail him!

  • This is awesome! lol... Wow it was really interesting and pretty fun to watch. :) I am totally subscribing! ;)

  • Clark is one of those guys who made up for his own failures by trying to blame others. Call it the revanche of the beureaucrats. Happens in Washington all the time. The ENTIRE political class failed the country. Clark decided to be an opportunist, write a poison pen biography, and choose up sides. Pity that.

  • cxj, so well said, Clarke in fact was predicting the next terrorist attack would be cyber-terror, in fact it was as low-tech as you could possibly get, box-cutters being the weapon of choice.

  • Nonsense. You probably didn't read his book either.

  • Looks like dick after being a recluse for 8 years is making up for lost time. I hope he and rush keep up the banter...hopefully Eric Holder will subpoena him since he's in such a talkative mood now. Once war criminal always a war criminal.

  • Holder sure did not prosecute those black panthers in uniform, with clubs, patrolling voting polls during the election. He sent federal marshals to protect abortion providers after the Tiller murder. What a warped sense of justice we now have. Voters can be intimidated by thugs but not abortionists?

  • Do you live in Philadelphia? I don't think you do. I do. It was 2 black guys that were being loud and annoying. They were in no way shape or form harrasing anybody. People were just walking by them. Don't twist things. And providing protection for peoplw who may be targets of a Hate Crime, well that just seems logical. Targeting doctors because they do abortions is a hate crime. I am not defending abortion, I think it is wrong and the women that have them are making a mistake.

  • I saw the vid. They were dressed up in military style garb with sticks. This was voter intimidation caught on film. The perps just happened to be black militants, so it was overlooked. A double standard in our country people are getting tired of.

  • We do have common ground on the abortion issue and that is a good thing. We can agree to disagree on the other issue.

  • I watched this entire press conference, and Cheney convinced me that he and the Bush Administration made decisions that were in our best interests at the time. Cheney was a respectable VP.

  • Is that what you call a vice-president who instructs his chief-of-staff to reveal the identity of a covert CIA agent during wartime for political purposes? And then sits idly by while said chief-of-staff gets prosecuted for lying to the FBI then arranges a presidential reprieve from the prison time he got?

    To each their own.

  • What covert agent? Valerie Plame was blown by Aldrich Ames to the Soviets, after which she was brought home. Then, we found out later that Richard Armitage revealed her CONUS job at CIA to Novak in an off the record interview. Cheney and Scooter had nothing to do with it. Pat Fitzgerald was on a fishing expedition and got Scooter on a small perjury charge that had nothing to do with the Plame issue. It was like catching Pablo Escobar smoking a joint and prosecuting him for possession of weed.

  • "Cheney and Scooter had nothing to do with it."

Then why was libby lying? You know he was and did. So who was he protecting?

  • That's the point. No one quite knows what Libby was lying -about-just that he was caught perjuring, about testimony involving Mller or the late Timmy Russert, iirc. Fitzgerald never got to Karl Rove or Darth. Biggest scam in America history foisted on the American people by Democrats. To find any pol guilty of perjury in Washington is akin to accusing John Holmes of engaging in licentious sexual behaviour. It was wrong when the Pubs did it to Clinton, and it was just as wrong this time.

  • Nonsense.

"No one quite knows what Libby was lying-about"

There is nothing more to say.

  • Oh, of course there is something more to say. I want the taxpayers' 45 million dollars back for that trumped-up scam investigation that Fitzgerald ran against Scooter in a forlorn attempt to get Karl Rove and Darth. Then Fitz went to Chicago and sat on the Blago story through the election so it wouldn't impact Teh Won's chances. Guess he wanted to keep that U.S. Attorney's job.

Smart boy. You can believe this jaywalking charge if you want to: I am not the gullible type.

  • cxj810,

    "jaywalking charge"?

Revealing the identity of a cia agent to a reporter to smear her husband for political purposes, you call "a jaywalking charge."

I see your point. I could not disagree more completely. Libby should be in prison, and cheney should be sitting next to him.

  • DIE, Dick. Just die.

  • This is the worst kind of human being we'll ever know.

Unsettling to be reminded that we ourselves are capable of being like this man

This man is an animal, he'd think nothing to kill your mother and father if he thought they were a threat to his fortune.

There is no Al Qaeda, there are a bunch of insane people who were trained by the CIA in the 80's by people like Cheney

This man and others like him are the reason 9-11 happened

Bush Admin have no concept of diplomacy, only war and profit.

  • Clark is a self important egomaniac trying to sell books. Why wasn't he sounding the alarm to Clinton for the first four years of the planning for that attack? The planning for that attack took 5 years, four of which, were on Clinton's watch. Clinton brokered a deal with Israel and the Arabs that got Muhammad Atta ( one of the key players in the attack) released from an Israeli jail during the 90's. All of the attackers were illegal immigrants.

  • clark is the only one, who said he was sorry,

though he send rice e-mails many times.

-rice who couldn`t recollect any warning, except

one that said something unspecific and useless,

like "I guess it said bin laden determined to strike within the us", in august.

  • Realize, baseless spin on that memo, Rice's response to Bin Laden Determined to Attack US, a memo she requested, which you can keyword with CNN in front of it online to read for yourself, was that it was a historical document that recapped the threats made by Alqaeda during the Clinton admin, and had hardly anything new in it, and nothing specific about 9/11. This is true. You can read it for yourself and see. 20 paragraphs on the 90's, one on some ongoing investigations.

  • I do not believe him. He is partisan and wants to re writehistory and sell books. I hope Cheeney keeps speaking out until Obama shuts his pie hole and stops blaming Bush for his own lack of leadership.

  • Mr."The One Percent Doctrine",

and his friend Rummie , from former legislation take on, ups whta just happened?? He pushed change into Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP),

and earlier on, shut down Olson-affair, co-founded PNAC(..event like pearl harbour...)

    Plamegate and so on....

  • All liberal myths to vilify and blame Bush. A good number of unanswered attacks happened under Clinton, which emboldened the terrorists to make the big strike. Clinton tried to make our response a police action which failed miserably. Obama seems to be repeating the same mistake.

  • You failed to mention bush's mistake of ignoring al queda for the first nine months before the attack. How can you deny the ineptitude of a guy who goes on vacation after getting a memo telling him in no uncertain terms "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States." If he was the president of your company when something like this happened, he would have been fired immediately.

  • Using your math, 1/5 of the blame goes to Bush and 4/5 to Clinton. The fact is that the planning for this attack took five years on our own soil. What was the Clinton administration doing for 4 years to stop this? All of the terrorists were here illegally, but we know illegal immigration is not a threat to our country. Neither administration is blameless.

  • you sure you are american?

or just triying stuff you oughta know is not true?

the embassy-guy they got the visa from was suspicious, but agency intervened and so they

    got where they wanted.

  • I served this country so you could throw your opinions around. We all create our own political reality. Those who may choose to disagree with me are not bad people or un American, we just disagree. It just boils down to who and what you want to believe in the end. I do not agree with your theories.

  • i didn`t know that you thought of me when you served, well may be you did sort of, but that is not the point, as you refuse to believe what is fact, not my opinion or anyone elses, so better take this as a big thank and get rid of your self made isolation.

  • I thought of our country and everyone in it along with their freedoms. It is a tradition in my family to serve their country in the military. You are welcome, I guess.

  • Actually, this is bullshit. Bush ordered Rice and the Pentagon to put together an invasion plan for Afghanistan that involved American forces. What was handed to them by Richard Clark and Sandy Berger involved using Pakistani paratroopers attached to the ISI, Pakistan's intel service and a franchise partner of Al Qaeda. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The invasion plan was on Rice's desk on September 10 when AQ hit first, as fascists often do. However, the notion that AQ was ignored is a lefty fantasy.

  • cxj810,

what is your citation for bush's order?

  • Dude, please cut the crap. You either did or did not listen to the 9/11 hearings. Rice cited a meeting in February, 2001 in which Bush stated that he was tired of "swatting flies" and ordered an invasion plan put together centering around American Rangers and airborne troops, iirc. Bin Laden moved first. Such things happen in war. September 11th wasn't so much a surprise attack as it was a spoiling offensive.

  • Comment removed

  • All I can say is you are being very generous to george bush.

  • cxj810, 9/11 was the result of a flawed response on Bush's part. Could have easily been averted if he had actually read and responded to the intelligence reports and warnings his administration received prior to the attacks. What he did in response to the attacks, speaks for itself, went to war in Iraq for WMDs which didnt exist, pissed off moderate muslims by bombing their homes and FORCING democracy on them and basically fuelling more terrorism, thank you George Bush for shitting on the world.

  • The 9-11 commission stated that the 9-11 attack took five years of planning on American soil. Bush had been in office for 8 months. This had been going on right under Clinton and Clarke's noses and they too, missed it. Clinton cut a deal in the early 90's that freed Mohammed Atta from an Israeli jail.

  • yepp sure, only that, by saying myths, you insult your former governments masterminds.

    Executive Order 13233

    Executive Order 13292

your ex-co-president might actually get angry, if

ya`ll insist on myths and coincidents instead of giving him credit where it is due.

  • You know when the planning of 9/11 started? How do you know that? That seems like a convient number. "Hey lets put 80% of the blame on the guy before us" Grow up, the people who commited 9/11 were allies of the Bush and Cheney criminal gang. The Mujahedeen(Al-Queda)? Saddam(nothing to do with 9/11 but was still an ally of that group)? I don't understand how people can just accept the connection between all of these people and not question. Why did Bush fly the Bin Laden's out of the US?

  • Wow, funny Dick Cheney, I'm sure the families of the soldiers and children who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan are laughing together with you.

  • Hilarious. I'm glad he decided to take his special brand of comedy on the road.

  • That is some funny stuff there! XD

  • 9/11 happened on Bush and Cheney's watch. Period. Richard Clarke repeatedly warned these guys about an impending attack and they sat on their hands. Why??? Read PNAC's doc -- they needed "another Pearl Harbor" to get support for their neoconservative foreign policy.

  • and who are the asshats who think he's funny?

  • I think this is all rather depressing.

  • republicans.

  • WHAT ABOUT HIS MEMO? DID YOU READ THAT EITHER??

    probably not.

cheney has blood on his hands and all he does is smile

    sickening

  • Why isn't this man in jail?

  • I haven't committed any war crimes. Dick Cheney can't say the same thing.
