@shafoz I've attended numerous trackdays in my country, in İstanbul park and Korfez race track. I know they aren't as hard as the nordschleife, but I've won lots of track events.

I think I can tell the difference between a rookie's mistake and a professional's. Of course experienced drivers sometimes make mistakes, I did too, we are all human beings. Of course we aren't machines programmed to accomplish something flawlessly. But your ignorant and selfish response made me sad.

@sachamun I drove 5 laps there in October (in a fairly slow car, vid on my channel). If you know the layout (rFactor helped) and you don't drive to impress anyone, it's fairly straightforward in dry weather. Still very intense, not a track for novices, I wouldn't want to drive it fast if I didn't know the corners. A lot of these drivers are bad (Porsche 968 at 0:59 for example), but some of them were probably just unlucky.

And either way it could have turned out about the same, but surely more steering in that situation is no good. Makes for good conversation anyhow!

@MrAdrianGrigore when you are driving in your own car at the so called "touristenfahrten" (open track for everyone who has a licence and a street legal car (or bike) the Nordschleife is equal to an open road with the same rules. So if you crash due to your own fault, you'd better have a comprehensive cover for your car; otherwise you pay ;) If you are involved in a crash with other cars it is handled like a usual road accident.

Downshifting and to chlutch in instantly is one technique to start a drift.

a few of the spin outs could have been avoided if the driver knew how to steer in the situation... been there a few times. Learning to drive in the snow and rain will teach you a few things. Love drifting / power sliding parking lots and large traffic circles

and know the track before you take a bend fast... and know what your car is capable of...
