as you have done it, deploying reverse was apparently the only solution to get the nose down, OR at the worst senario just shut the engins off !!!

@MrEthan0329 I can't remember, but it's the ifdg MD-11 and I see flightsim . com has some versions of it. There's also another nice MD-11 by Simmer's Sky you can find by typing Overland MD-11 into google.

use the reverse thrusters i dont think u did. and brakes and speed breaks will bring it down as well. and like the other other guy said u were coming in a bit hot. u flared the whole way down. the usually only do that at like TNCM or shrt runways

By the way... it looks like you came in a bit hot. Maybe extend the flaps more and hit the have the spoilers extend when you touch down. That would bring the nose down quickly! :)

Nice. I'm currently working on new scenery for KPBG. It will take a while, since I'm making some of the buildings from photographs I have. The basic FSX airport layout isn't extremely accurate. I had to move the runway further west and relocate the taxiways. I'm also adding the new Plattsburgh Intl terminal, test cell, hush house, fire station, proper tower location, etc. I'm hoping to be finished in a few weeks.

next time try arming the spoiler before your approach.

then once the wheels touch the ground the spoilers will automatically deploy, getting your node down and slowing down with the help of you engine reversing

hahaah.. nice video..! I've noticed that issue with the MD11 in FSX as well.. when the runway seems to end soon, I use the spoilers to put the nose down.. :)

It's a freeware addon you can download and put in your aircraft folder. Go to avsim . com and search for MD11 iFDG in FS2004 repaints. There's a gazillion other great planes there too :)

unreal flare... excesive noose up ( angle of atack ) after the main gear touched the ground , the noose down too late. if it was a real flight you will be banned of this airline.

Yes I have FSX too, and I like both FSX and FS2004, they are both great. FS2004 is better for me cause my computer isn't fast enough to run FSX well.

I think it's the soft touchdown and the MD-11 likes to keep her nose up and show off :)
