I remember playing runescape back in 06 those where one of the funnest times or my life, come back from school and play RS i stopped playing in 2010 my account got hacked, this was by far the best game i ever played in my life and it will always hold a special place in my heart, it is great that there is a remake of runescpe 06 but i think what happens in the past stays in the past, they might bring back the good ol rs but it wont be exactly the same. They are working on Farming now. Also they will get every RS-sounds to work, all quests (which existed before 16th may or something) and EVERYTHING!
Look for RS2006remake on Youtube to watch some clips where they show specific skills on rs2006. To hell with Virtus and Torva, rune and dragon for the freaking win! :)

ok wildy was removed for a reason no need to assault jagex. They should have realised that it was people in the community who made the wildy get removed due to real world trading and other things they should be grateful jagex even brought it back at all
@VraelVaknar I don't really see why just because a small minority of people are RWT and all that, Jagex had to get rid of one of the most common players activities, PK. That would be like making a popular video and taking it down just because of a few dislikes. If people want to buy in-game items with RWM, then that isn't really my problem. Just because a few people cheated in a game doesn't mean Jagex has to ruin other peoples fun.

@DragonxxxFire i haven't played in years, but i know RS is not the same anymore. all of the overpowered weapons, everyone having level 99 skills, and the excessive botting has ruined the game. bringing back PKing and free-trade doesn't solve those problems as well dude.
i mis the times when pking was: fighter torso, whip, dds, rune legs, berserker helm, str ammy, i mis the times santas were 17m, i mis the time you had epic bank with 100m, i mis..... nvm, runescape is fucked up.

as for runescape dieing, i think its -also- yourself that -changed- as the novelty wears off. the early good memories become the old rs, the familiarity and the changes become the new rs. Im guessing there will be an 'old runescape' even for the newer players not from around 2007, eventually.
Over 100k people playing during peak times of the day. It's never died, people just gave up on it, the people who still kept on playing kept it alive. Yes back in the day it was really fun, but it's just a feeling of nostalgia, it's still a good game.
Runescape just died again. They jacked the calasic price for membership from $5 to $6 (Quite some time ago) and now made it $8 a month! That is when the died the second time.

I was in Edgeville cutting the yews on this day. Was never into the wild but I had a good view of everybody protesting, people yelling at the moderators, people giving everything they had away because they were quitting. Even though I never found wildy PK'ing fun, I knew something in the game had changed for the worse and I felt it. Even today, the wild isn't what it used to be. one of their first serious blunders...getting rid of pk instead of nerfing drops...along with grand exchange...then apparently after they've sacrificed so much they undo all of it ...
as for runescape dieing, i think its -also- yourself that -changed- as the novelty wears off. the early good memories become the old rs, the familiarity and the changes become the new rs. Im guessing there will be an 'old runescape' even for the newer players not from around 2007, eventually.

Over 100k people playing during peak times of the day. It's never died, people just gave up on it, the people who still kept on playing kept it alive. Yes back in the day it was really fun, but it's just a feeling of nostalgia, it's still a good game.

i remember getting scammed my black armor by a stupid item trimmer guy and some guy saw and was generous enough to give me a mith mace. I remember when so many people would ask to buy my mith kite shield cause they couldnt find one anywhere. I remember when my friend was able to hit 6s when he got an addy long and i was so jealous of him i had to save up 3k to buy one. i remember this guy with rune trimmed omg back then rune trimmed is like finding a guy with a inventory full of phats (seen one)

I was in Edgeville cutting the yews on this day. Was never into the wild but I had a good view of everybody protesting, people yelling at the moderators, people giving everything they had away because they were quitting. Even though I never found wildy PK'ing fun, I knew something in the game had changed for the worse and I felt it. Even today, the wild isn't what it used to be. The new tacky and useless graphics don't help either. Sometimes I still play, but the game ain't what it used to be..

i remeber everhting iv done on runescape its my life i love it but everday its getting fuced up more then ever prices are droping everthing i would have 200m in my bank or more now its like 100m:( desapointed in jagex he needs to put some more time to the game.i quited for about 12times for the gats asss updates but i now i understand runescape is my life and i will never quit again if my stuff drops then i will get mroe money to buy it.am just saying jagexs sould think better get ride of bots!

i made my first account (which i still have and play on occassion every couple months or so) in 2003. I remember hours of merchanting just to get full rune, then workin my way up to getting a guthix full helm.. then full guthix.. lol when full guthans was 8m xD.. that 20m santa hat seemed so out of reach.. no one ever heard of anything more than 200m back then.. pking with teams that changed every 10 minutes.. the days when you couldnt get 1 hit killed by half of the pkers out there..

Omg... I miss the pking as it was in early times.
In 2011-2012 it's not even funny.
I remember that i was happy getting rune armor by killing hill giants.
I remember being hacked on a lvl 126 (that time max lvl)
I remember a noob of level 18, wich was happy with full bronze. so i gave him. and he was so happy. I miss it that ppl gave stuff away. they did that before G.E. Came. because GE let those people think about how much it was actually worth, all the stuff they gave away.

I am proud that I had been playing runescape since 2006,
I still remember I brought a useless charcoal for 500k in free to play world
I still remember people buying/selling items(amulet of strength, big bone) in a typical areas
I still remember in the hill giants areas, many players kill for the big bones and limp root
However, i have forgotten how I was excited to get a rune item and how I worked hard to earn little money.
