What a beauty! My dad fancied her and when I was born he named me Linda after her - Shame I never lived up to the name and inherited her looks! Lol :-) x
@mgomezdunham - No sorry, I meant to say 'Shame I never lived up to the name OR inherited her looks!' So, no I did not inherit her looks....if only! :-)
BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE...THIS VERSION OF "SECRET LOVE" SUCKS COMPARED TO THE VERSION I GREW UP WITH. I THINK IT WAS BY FREDDY FENDER. IN FACT, I HAD TO TURN THE SOUND DOWN.
Thank you for creating and posting this beautiful tribute. Any aspiring starlet who brings her pet chicken with her to Hollywood is way up high on my list of all-time favorites!
A true beauty inside and out...We can't get enough of her...Rest in peace beautiful angel!!! (I named my daughter Richelle Lynnette after her...and she bears a great resemblance, brunette with beautiful brown eyes!)
Linda Darnell had the most dreamy eyes. My favorite movie of hers was the 1945 film,"Fallen Angel" with Dana Andrews & Alice Faye, there was talk of an Oscar nomination for this role, but it never happend.
Linda died after as shewas saving baby girl in teh fire wich became at house, she saved her life but if memory dosnt change me she died in hospital absolutly with burn body
I watched a documtary on Linda's life after watching A Letter To Three Wives and I am so sad that she had so many problems to overcome. I never knew how she died and I am in shock and so alone and sad thinking about how terrible it must of been to die the way she did. Life isn't fair, especially when a beautiful and classy lady like Linda dies so tragically. RIP Ms.Darnell
You are so lucky to have been friends with Undeen. She seemed to be such a great lady. It seems like it ran in the family with the exception of their mother. I am honored to know someone that knew the family. RIP Linda.
How can anyone not love her and you sweetheart? If love is the answer, what is the question?

Perfect song for these beautiful photos of a beautiful lady. My family were friends w/ her sister Undeen Darnell Hunter, whose
sacrifices made Linda's career possible.
They're together now, and we have many of Linda's movies on dvd to remember her by.
God rest you Tweedles!
