King Ferdinand had an out of wedlock son named Alonso de Estrada, 1st Viceroy of New Spain (Mexico). Alonso married Mariana de la Caballeria, a rich Jewish conversa. I think the Inquistion has been HYPED up more than it really should be. Ill be brief:

1. Spain was at war

2. Arabs concurring Constantinople

3. Muslims in Other parts of world, forced Christians to convert or sold to slavery. (This doesnt receive attention)

4. Scholars were primarly Protestant and further exagerated the inquistion.

There is obviously alot of bias that gives the event a worse reputation than it really was.
