Nevertheless, I have to add the aria's correct name is: 'Du also bist mein Bräutigam' . But there's no reason to worry about it; if it was not my mother tongue, I would also make many spelling mistakes in German (moreover, I am pretty sure this comment contains a lot of misspelling and grammatical errors) .

Pamina wants to commit suicide because she believes that Tamino no longer loves her. She draws the knife her mother gave her earlier with which she was ment to kill Sarastro. The three angelic boys stop Pamina from killing herself: at first they try to reaon with her: "God will punish you for commiting suicide"; than they tell her that Tamino still loves her but simply cannot speak with her during his trials.

The kids are good, they may be the Tölzer Knabenchor. And the cartoon is absolutly BEAUTIFUL. I haven't seen such beautiful cartoon animation since Paul Grimault's. It reminds me a bit of his style, like in "le Roi et l'Oiseau"

The great Lucia Popp is Pamina here. She also recorded the Queen of the Night. Fairly rare for one singer to sing both roles. Alas she died too young.

She's Lucia Popp... I think this recording is directed by Bernard Haitink... It sounds like a Box Set by EMI Classics I heard. I'm not sure.
