This is obviously not a fake, you must not play bass or have played for only a short time because she is playing with technique that many bassists use and the notes she plays line up with what i'm hearing from the music. Also especially for a song like this, tabs and covers are made by fans of the show and they each differ according to the skill of the player or tab creator.

Not using a pick? have you ever played a bass before? Picking is less common than using fingers. Yeah, your fingers hurt a little bit at first, but they toughen up in like 3 days.

Picking is sometimes used when you want to play insanely fast (metal and punk usually) or if you want a harsh sort of raw sound. This song however, is neither super fast or raw.

By the way, awesome cover =) i shall be looking into this song very soon =)
