  • this shows you how serious this mother fucker was

  • Omg

  • At 2:10 with all security footage being shown, 3rd screen down far left, the aisle with the shovels and garden forks. Earlier when this was shown full screen there was a man and women in that aisle dodging tools and stuff falling from the shevles, in the multiscreen they're gone? different footage maybe?

Oh and the woman at reception also gets to me, I don't like the way she gets thrown back and forth, hope she was ok.

  • @fangorn40 There was another large aftershock before the 6.3 that day, so it was probably from that.

  • interesting video but it would be better if the music wasnt so loud. backgroung or no music please and werent those people in the gardening tools section lucky. tools flying off the shelves everywhere.

  • crap, this gets me all teary...its the chick at checkout holding her head...

  • another quake like this and im out of here...born and bred kiwi, but im going to OZ if there is another biggie....love the place

  • @dknutsford do you mean my comment about the checkout chick? it gets me teary, cause she looks terrified, just holding her head as if "i dont want to die"....

  • Shit just got real, yo

  • WOW much bigger than we got!!!

  • fuken epic

  • ok retard...o

  • lol 1:16 the man put the trolley infront of the girl. to clock her path hahaha and he was trying to steal something >..>

  • Its not that bad really.. i mean i know a few of the people that died in the quakes. but its not exactly scary at the time.. just afterwards you see everything broken and its shocking.

  • @ReTardoFTW

You are a loser!!! of course its scary at the time you dick!!!! and you know people that died and still write comments like that! whats wrong with you? by the way cameras dont lie...

  • @asinclair0 haha i knew someone would rage at me. Im giving you my opinion btw. You may think its scary but for me its not. If it happens it happens.

  • @ReTardoFTW

UM.... thats not raging just think its a stupid an insensitive thing to say! if you really new people that died in the quake have some respect. i was in town for the feb earthquake, and as the shaking was still happening we were seeing bits of buildings fall peolple hurt mess every where. not nice!!! same with every aftershock you never know how big its gunna get or when its gunna stop. RESPECT... or maybe your just really tough... OR reTarderd

  • @asinclair0 both, id say.

  • See how bad people just get thrown

  • daaamn thats some mean as footage!

  • by far one of the best earthquake videos ive seen!!! and this was only the june earthquake... scary

  • @asinclair0

feburay 22nd 6.3 earthquake here was over 3000 times more powerful

  • this vid makes me tear up...i have never ever been caught in a shop when any of the quakes have happened....the lady on checkout covering her head....yip, teared up then.

  • @2Guys1CoD i wouldnt go that far to call them faggots, i know of some really kind and lovely Aucklanders, i know you are angry and more than likely stressed but ignore any dumb ass comments from some nasty people...(((HUGS))) from a fellow Cantabrian....(parklands)

  • Excellent video guys, perfect music. Fingers crossed we've had the worst of it...

  • xDDDD

  • I'm soooooooooo fucking tired about that song......

  • I hate the fucking music!!

  • They should have known something was awry when requiem for a dream started playing.

  • Love out to Chrstchrch.

  • I left a few day before that happened, it's amazing how much damage it can do :(

  • It was exactly like that...

  • worst place to be in an earthquake

  • whats it going to take for you sinners to repent of your wicked ways, Jesus is coming he is close even at the door how can you still sleep he is shaking you WAKE UP!. Repent

  • Sincronizzazione audio-video perfetta!! ...Complimenti alla regia!!

  • anybody care to tell me what's the name of the song?

  • @Grounderz The song is Requiem For A Dream.

  • @TheSunshyneProject thank you :)

  • That sales person was really brave to ensure the safety of a customer I know that during the quakes everything goes out the window but this girl has it together she should get a pay rise! GOOD WORK!

  • clean up on isle 1 through 30

  • Anyone who thinks this is cool or wants one to happen in there town IS A FUCKING RETARD. Try living through these earthquakes and loosing jobs/homes/family/friends. Have some respect.

  • yes that was me. No i didnt flog the glue, it got ditched some where along the way and no i wasnt trying to block the chick off. The scaffold was on wheels and moved when i grabed it.

  • @nuryim why do dick heads like you get so upset ova something so trvial. Try a living thru a freakin earthquake kiddie

  • 1:33 Guy looks like hes just walking around casually.

  • I can't stand living here anymore! It's awful :(

  • Far out I feel sorry for you guys in cc

  • clean up in...the whole fucking store.

  • @Luijifee wow am i sick of seeing this lame excuse for a joke on every earthquake vid!

  • SO im guessing that wasnts the best place to be at that specific time.....

  • Not to sound rude... But I actually want to know what a real life earthquake experience would feel like.... unlike that gay earthquake box stimulant at Te Papa Museum.

  • @iReCtiOnToSh Think of a table and someone pulls the table cloth out but leaves the objects standing now slow it down slightly so that the objects start to fall over and then do this back and fourth and then scale this up to a city size table. If you are up in a high rise then you scale the movement up, I experienced this next to a window and never knew a building could actually take the speed of the movement and still stay upright. Huge respect for this building now.

  • @iReCtiOnToSh just come for a holiday tyo chch then

  • I feel so sorry for what you guys are going thru, have lots of family and friends in ChCh,just hope it will all come good for you soon.

  • shit.

  • That was freaky enough in our office, and looks horrible in your warehouse! I hope the lady at the check out is OK, her hand looked like it almost got shut into the keyboard storage.

  • Poor Christchurch :( I live in Hamilton and I heard that it moving up north.....is that true? Or is it just a rumor? :S

  • @KimbaLovexx No... because it's not a hurricane.

  • @nuryim

It's good for dramatic depressing stuff

  • The music might as well be 009 sound system.

  • @nuryim you think thats bad have you heard of dreamscape?

  • I thght da guy on 1:18 was trying 2 steel smthing and got chasd by da sales lady..

  • @osoriobernard thats what i thought!!

  • @osoriobernard atleast he was still persistant and held on to the things he wanted to buy so when he could, he could check them out.. hahaha.

  • @osoriobernard I was thinking the exact same thing.

  • cool i wish that happened in Auckland its boring here >..>

  • @magicswaper Im in chch and i agree i wish it happened there too as you are boring

  • @magicswaper

    stupid thing to wish for!!

but on the other hand i bet alot of us here in chch wish it happened somewhere else too.

  • i almost cried o_0 i was scared for the lady behind the counter

  • Lol that would be the freakiest place to be in an earthquake.. So many heavy and sharp tools that suddenly had the ability to fly straight at you. Happy I was safe at home for it :D

  • @nuryim your a fuckhead!!!!

  • I used to work in a hardware store down in Canterbury many years ago. Watching this was pretty scary, as I kept thinking about all the different dangerous items that are around you in the different departments. I'm not surprised people are running. My thoughts are with you all down there.

(And I'm really very glad I don't live down there anymore, nor work in hardware).

  • @nuryim Coz its fucking epic, that's why. Lol.

  • tht earthquake was a bit freaky, i thought my windows wer guna smash in

  • tththis made me laugh

  • Awesoem and well put together movie, I was at Countdown when the June 6.3 hit, bottles flying all over the place in the iles. Hope all is well, hopefully this will stop in the near future...

  • @nuryim seems like you dont live here in Christchurch, it fits the video very well and was a great choice.

  • The editor did an amazing job! : )

  • thanks for posting-incredible stuff

  • 3 words HOLY FUCKEN SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • KIA KAHA

  • @1DoesntNeedSpeak bro honestly this song is used so fuckin much ... overkill of the song -_-

  • Holy cow you made a video of it! - Jamie Innes (Customer services, Bondor Chch)

  • Lux Aeterna is the greatest song ever!

  • wots with the dumb music?

  • These will end eventually. Kia Kaha, Christchurch.

  • GLAD LORRAINE IS OK , LOOKED LIKE SHE GOT PUSHED AROUND HARDOUT. YES GLAD EVERYONE A ITM IS OK, PS DAVID U MUST NEVER SPRINT OUT OF A BUILDING AND LEAVE THE LADIES BEHIND;-) ALL GOOD US EAST COASTIES ON THE NORTH ISLAND, ARE THINKING OF U ALL, WE EVEN HAD A FUNDRAISING FOR THE PEOPLE OF CHRISTCHURCH, YOU CAN HAVE A LOOK ON (TE REO IRIRANGI O NGATI POROU) WEBSITE. ANYWAYS STAY SAFE.

  • Omg thats tragic

  • Cool video... and nice touch with the credits :)

  • If only you negative people lived there n experienced it all!!! if you haven't got nothing nice to say then say nothing at all !!!

  • @IAmThinkTank No.

  • Well put together. Good choice of song!!!

  • @romanadamov Looks like you're upset that you're being left out? Not our fault that you come from a place that doesn't drink alcohol (as it would appear that a lot of you comments are alcohol related). Your dad must be angry with the money he has lent to you for study only to land up in a Earthquake prone part of the world... Maybe he should have done his homework better, but I guess anywhere else would think you're a flight risk. How did the exams go?

  • @nuryim its a good dramatic song.

  • wow that looks damn scary

  • Good way to plug your business I suppose.

  • a decent tsunami would have benefited this town. Cleaned it out for a while at least

  • Is the dude at 1:17 trying to steal something?

  • it looks like stopmotion ...

  • @nuryim because its fucking funny

  • Best part is 2:26, the part where they show director's name.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=sf2uOeBMub8&NR=1 - some douche trying to claim his fame lol

  • nuryim is angry!

  • I feel like I just watched a movie trailer

  • Comment removed

  • We should really have a good look @romanadamov page. He seems to think it's alright to support a terrorist group that likes to kill 186 children.

  • Who chose the soundtrack?

  • i found this video very beautiful, call it strange, but is this also advertising the DIY company?

  • Dam that is some nice ass Sectuiruty cameras yall have, amazing quailitay

  • Amazed at the way the lights were swaying at around 1:43. Shows how much movement there was.

  • As scary as this must have been, and my thoughts are with all those affected, I wish people would stop using this music for everything. It's one of the greatest pieces of our time and it doesn't need to be used over cctv footage, or some national tv talent show, it just cheapens the piece.

Still, hope the fault line near you guys calms down very soon.

  • yeah i normally laugh at these things cus they look so weak but this is strong and the place where it is in a hardware store...sharp items everywhere...could actually get killed

  • @romanadamov Man you're awesome.

  • everyones reaction made me sad

  • we live in christchurch and probably noone would like to live here atm but got no other choice as our property , future all invested in this place . i truly believe we can get through this.. !!!

  • @romanadamov spoken like someone who hasn't been in an earthquake in their life. I moved from Christchurch to Tokyo straight after the February earthquake so I guess I'm allowed to comment on your ignorance, I don't know what makes you despise people from New Zealand so much, but earthquakes don't make you "hard," yes Japanese people are more polite, yes respect is a lot different in Japan, but victims in any natural disaster whether they are 5 or 100,000 are still victims.

  • im in christchurch and im bloody sick of it all

  • fucks sake....i live in chch, and this looks so bad.....i was at highschool when it hit and the scaffolding of next to a building repeatedly smashed it, and then the 6.0 a massive commercial sized truck was jolting side to side

  • Been through every quake :)

  • nothing like a bit of 'requiem for a dream'...

  • Comment removed

  • The customers at 1:46 had balls!

  • Wasn't this bad where I was in Christchurch, I can see it's much MUCH more effective elsewhere. Very good video.

  • 1:17 , Using obstacle to slow down pursuer

  • @kalebird HAHAHAHAHHA

  • Beautifully edited! A hardware store definitely wouldn't be the nicest place to be during an earthquake.

  • cantabreins are gona be pros at how to handle a earth quake by the end of this year

  • i live in chch been thru all the quakes i aint leaving this town its my home

  • The SUSPENSE is too much!!!!! I can't stand it!!!

  • I felt the earthquake down in Dunedin, damned thing knocked over my drink.

  • @LtRift poor you

  • That does not look like a safe place to be.

  • SHITBALLS!!

  • I live in the west of Christchurch.

In the first few days following the latest wobbles, I noticed the car park beneath the local supermarket was all but empty.

Today, 5 days later, it rained.

That same car park today was virtually full.

To me, that say's one of two things.

Either people have very short memories, or, they would rather take a shower in tonnes of concrete than in a little rain water.

  • @3nasacova or it's the weekend and they have run out of food?

  • @3nasacova You should have also noticed the carpark was still standing. Life goes on. We cannot live in fear of earthquakes because they can happen anywhere at anytime.

  • i live in north beach (eastern suberbs) for any1 that doesent know =D

  • The keyboard the lady is using disapeared

  • Ouch, wouldn't want to be in here during an earthquake. Pillow section of Briscoes might be OK.

  • Thats intense

  • "their" not, "there" niggah.

  • Diglet Earthquake attack! It's super effective!

  • what was the soundtrack?

  • @LiberateNZ u dont know?

  • @DebateMeTheists no...i wish I did know

  • @LiberateNZ okay the song is called Lux Aeterna it is a song from the movie Requiem for a Dream so it is often called Requiem.

  • seriously...spare your careless remarks. people are dying there.

  • No messing with that sort of power!!

  • earthquake starts @ 1.03

  • holy shit!

  • I live in a broken house, on a broken street, in a broken city. Yet i still choose to stay because Christchurch is my home.

  • @SmeezySisters Respect. I know things are tough, but this is the reality of living with mother-nature.

    Stay strong.

  • @SmeezySisters You know... I walk around Auckland saying "I would have left after the Feb one" but if I change the situation to having one in Auckland - I couldn't leave. Not until I finish my degree. And even then, there are more ECE centres up here and more children who need people like me. So I'm going to stop saying it. It wouldn't be true anymore.

  • As sad as it is.. 1:16 - Dude runs cause a chick is chasing him...

  • @BornDisturbed LOL it actually looked like he moved something in her way as well! ;)

  • Yet another awful day for Christchurch city, while watching this yet another aftershock hit! So over this! Great video though well done...perfect sound track ;-)

  • @KiwiPopPrincess - this was no aftershock lol, was an actual earthquake

  • @crusader2109 No I said there was another aftershock while I was watching the video lastnight....I know full well it was another earthquake it threw me into the wall.....

  • @KiwiPopPrincess - oh ok lol
